Well, it finally happened to me. I had a nightmare last night that seemed to last for hours. I dreamt that someone had hacked into my GPF account and was posting a bunch of really mean and nasty stuff and that my account had gotten banned.

I was in the forum reading all this nasty stuff that had been posted using my account and everybody was really telling me off. I was soooo upset because I couldn't let everyone know that it hadn't really been me saying all that stuff.

What was really weird was that I kept searching and searching for Sophieca to help me but I couldn't find her and couldn't figure out how to reach her.

And what was really strange was that I could see everybody but they couldn't see me or hear me. I just kept running up and down all these stairs to all the different sections of the forum trying to find Sophieca.

When I woke up I was even breathing hard and sweating, I guess from all that running!!

It was so real that I half expected to not be able to log onto the forum today!!

I've had those types of dreams before. Where your looking for something (or someone in your case) around a virtual place made "real" (the stairs in your case) I hate them.

It was soooo strange. It was like I kept waking up and had the urge to come and see if I could log in but then I'd fall back asleep and start running again. I remember looking for her in chitchat and then dreading running up all those stairs again to get back to general discussion!!

I was more exhausted when I actually got up than when I had gone to bed!!

If there are lots of stairs between GD and Chit Chat IRL, I think I'd be getting loads and loads of exercise daily with how I keep hopping from forum to forum.

Well that's probably it right there. I did know she wasn't gonna be here for a few days, I just forgot all about it. It's amazing was sticks in your subconcious and comes out all weird in dreams!!

I hate those kind of dreams. Last night I dreamed I was trying to outrun a volcanic eruption. I woke up with heart pounding and in fear. Took me a long time to get back to sleep, I was so disturbed.

But most of my dreams where I'm trying to find something involves schools (there are usually stairs involved, it must be a common theme).

I have crazy dreams like this all the time. It really is rather disturbing... and there are stairs in most of my dreams lol must be a common theme!

Totally off-topic (well, kind of ....) but I have been having strange, violent, graphic dreams recently. They all involve the deaths of loved ones and I wake up crying. I suppose this means I'm about to lose something I love, but it's getting old. I'm almost afraid to sleep at night anymore.....

I'm so sorry to hear you've been having such dreams.

That's not fun at all.

Actually, though, I've read that such dreams (about losing someone you love deeply) are not usually about losing something. They have more to do with letting go of something - perhaps even something that you know you need to let go of (some small anger or disappointment or unrealistic expectation of yourself). I don't obviously know if this applies to you, but it's just what I've read somewhere (trying hard to remember the source but coming up blank).

I truly hope that this helps. You are always so kind and wonderful here at the forum, and I for one enjoy each post of yours that I read, cheryl.

I hope the bad dreams go away for you very soon.

I hate when I have dreams like that. For some reason I am a very active dreamer and it drives me crazy sometimes. One of these days I need to start a dream diary and write all of them down.

I still remember dreams I had as a child and I'm 30 years old!!

I've even dreamed the same dream more than once.

Ohhhhh Mandy!!! I have really long blonde hair that I think would look really good with some purple streaks!!!! Purple's my favorite color!!
