Full Version: HOW TO WITH BANNERS AND URLS
HI EVERYONE MY NAME IS DANTZELING I NEW WITH THE PAID PROGRAMS SO I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE. COULD SOME ONE GIVE ME SOME INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PLACE BANNERS CORRECTLY AND TELL ME HOW TO RUN YOUR URL ON PAID SITES, I AM SORRY BUT I WILL NEED STEP BY STEP BECAUSE I AM NEW TO THIS. OR IS THERE OR WEBSITE TO SHOW YOU WHAT TO DO. THANKS NEW GIRL ON THE BLOCK DANTZELING

What exactly are you trying to do?
Are you adding a banner with a hyperlink in your signature here?
Are you redeeming for a banner ad at a site and don't know what to put in there?
Tell me what it is you're trying to do and we will try to help you.

I was just on my way here to post a question about banners and I found this - what luck!
My question is: if on a redemption page it says "Place banner code here" does that mean that I just copy and paste all the info that is on the referral page of the site I am referring, that is just above the banner? Do I need to do anything with the banner pic itself?
Normally, I would place my ref link and the link to where I uploaded the banner to an image host right ? (I have been reading how to guides, lol - I managed to get this far but now I need help!)

Most sites require you to download the banner (to save bandwith) and like you say upload it to your image host. In that case you would just replace the url of the site (from your copy/paste) with the url of your "http://image host/images/whatever.gif".
To download a banner "right click" (on the banner) and "save image/picture as".

Yep, this is what you need to do if you're placing a banner ad. That's what you do whenever you're placing either a PTC banner (unless it's just a text banner) or a banner impression ad.
I think people get confused because programs all seem to have different descriptions in their redemption boxes, even though they all need exactly the same information.
I have the same question, I asked the other day and was almost answered- I was given a website to manage photos/banners- I don't remember the site offhand...
My question is- do you add your banner link from the site you upload it on, and then add the link you want in your banner separately? I thought that was what I read- but then what- does the WM add the URL into the banner for us?? I don;t completely understand, lol.
I also wanted to ask something about the PTC- and banner impressions too:
1. Can you addy for another site using these, or only for the site you are redeeming on?
2. How do we know when our PTCs/Banners have gone out, or if they even have?

when u submit banner ads, it will be in this format :-
banner url :
target url :
the wm will then set it up, so that ppl clickin on your banner will be taken to your target url.
as for your questions :
1. u can only hv one target url.
2. log in, and click 'Advertising Stats' on top of the page, u will then see, how many clicks has been received by the PTC/ emails/ paidtosignups.

ok..
if u are redeemng at Karmic Cash.. why would u advertise Karmic? advertise something else.. anything other than Karmic. coz it doesnt make sense advertising the same programme, as only members will see it.
the same goes for email ads and paidto sign ups and banner impressions.

That is EXACTLY what I wanted to know- because somebody else told me differently....
I was told that they went out to all the sites and that you could only advertise the site you were advertising for, and that did not make sense to me at all.
