Get Paid Forum - Get Paid Discussion > Get Paid To Programs > Industry Announcements
FamilyAffair
Keypoints:
1) A random member who clicked every link, will be picked weekly to get paid 1 cent for each link clicked.

2) Members who joined 1 week or longer & did not click any link, will be banned from future contests.

QUOTE
Sorry I have to do this but People are NOT clicking the links.

Starting this week Ill be rewarding random people that click EVERY link. At the end of each week I will pick a random member. I will pay the
member 1 cent for each link he or she has clicked that week. If I send 100 links and you clicked 1. You get 1 cent. If I check and you have been a member for the whole week and you clicked no links then I ban you from any further contests run by me.

They cut member's downline number yesterday.

No they didn't they did the new CAC referral and earnings update that CAC released. This fixed all problems with earnings and referral numbers. So, those members who lost money or referrals neither earned the money/referrals or actually had the money/referrals.

It would be greatly appreciated by all CAC webmasters if a news announcement was made for this update, as the same thing will be happening at ALL CAC sites who do the update. It will save us A LOT of trouble.
Thanks.

Another person that didnt read any of the emails I have sent?
ppprk
I lost approx. 500 referrals & I went from $18 down to $2.

I wonder what are the "other CAC sites" to start making the fix in the next day or so.

All CAC sites will be making the fix in the coming days and weeks.

I think I don't understand what you said.
If so,why does venomx bring the negative balance back upto $0 and give them a free nonpaid ad?

What I will do is, if you got a negative balance now Ill bring it back upto $0 if you email me. I will also for the next 24 hours give you all a free nonpaid ad. I know this isnt much and I ask for your understanding.

Ok, now I'm really confused, lol  At first I thought what venomx was saying (and I do read his emails and posts in this forum) was that the whole thing was a big mistake. Then from the latest, I thought that some accounts had been over credited as it were, but that there was still something wrong and some people had lost more than they should. Now is what you're saying is that all the new totals are right? I'm not so sure of that because somehow I can't see ppprk's totals being off by 500 refs and $16... seems a little overly extreme :frown:

Hello everyone,

Ok, you all know I do NOT say urgent just to get your attention, to whine, sell you something, etc. (I hate that kind of thing). Create-A-Click found a flaw in the scripts, most especially those that deal with your downline earnings. Have you ever seen the programs that you can see your downline names? Ever notice that there was 2, 3, a dozen duplicates?
We were assured those were not actually printing duplicate earnings as well. Turns out that was wrong. We have installed the update, and as of now downline duplicates in active are gone. What this means to those with large downlines on CAC programs will be seeing their earnings go down in most cases. This is on ALL cac sites.
Webmasters, as you may imagine, will likely be most effected, although top promoters will also see a drop. Those of you who were paid recently or often may actually see a negative balance from overpayments on PenniesByEmail. I know this is not fun, especialy we believe we have X amount earned from our efforts. To find out there was an accounting error doesn't make us feel at ALL better.

I was being NICE in saying I would bring it back up to 0 and giving the free ad. I have so many peopel yelling at me its not funny. I wanted to do something that may calm them down. If it doesnt then fine Ill let everything how it is if the members dont like it them may unsubscribe.

Everyone thinks it is soooo easy running a site. If you only knew what some site owners go through.

And to the ones that say well you shouldnt have started a site if you cant handle it.. I say people should use the brain the good Lord gave them.

I am ready to do as the Contact us page states. If the answer is in the help page Ill ignore the email and delete it. Ill get a bad rap for it but I cant help it alot of people online should NOT have a computer because they sure dont seem that smart.

Think a $1 fee to answer questions already in the help page is a fair price?

I dunno what it is but I seem to be drawing most of the crazies to my sites! I know one owner that if he thinks you are cheating or he gets ONE bounced email or he just doesnt like the way you signed up and added your info your account is history.

Venomx If that was in any way directed at me, please know that I was not criticising you or the way you run your sites. As a matter of fact the changes you have made have all benefited me because I do check my email regularly and I do click all the links. I was just a little unclear as to whether or not the stats were in fact correct now, because you did say in your mail that you were waiting for another email from the CAC owner, so I wasn't sure. I actually have a little downline in TDE, which is something for me and I was just trying to deteermine if they were real (and cause for celebration) or if they were going to start disappearing on me. If they do, them's the breaks, not gonna email you and whine about it

At this time I have no idea. Frank from CAC took the update files down and put up a message that he was updating them and to check back.

To be honest, I click on the links I have enough time to click on, some days I have time, some days I don't, the ones I couldn't click on in time go to trash and they certainly are deleted directly if I have to read an entire letter telling me how bad the members are and it's all our fault.

For the rest, I click and don't really pay attention anymore, I can't catch up with TOS changes, scripts changes, referral system changes, earnings going up and down, number of referrals going up and down, 10 times the same referral listed in my downline, duplicates and triplicates mail in my inbox (mostly those contain whinings from the webmasters saying a lot of emails bounce in ful inboxes).

I honestly tried to have contacts with some complaining webmaster, to understand their position, and I finaly understood, they are fed up with members complaints just like members are fed up with webmasters complaints. But I am not sure those webmasters tried to understand their members' position, they generally tell us, do as I say and thank me for that or unsubscribe, phuuuuut !

I think it's bad for the nice and hardworking webmasters that some webmasters destroy their image and hard work by being unkind to their members and/or changing TOS all the time.

So, a big thanks to the webmasters keeping up the great work, the other ones can keep on complaining, I am not sure a lot of people really pay attention.

Wow, after such a long posting, I have to hurry back to my real job :-)

Have a nice day !

Agree. I wonder how mant members really read the notice from webmasters, FamilyAffair is an exception. I think it should be less than 10%. Even the clickthru rate of paid email is now less than 50%, I don't expect anyone will read what we write in the notice. If we need our members to take a message. We at least need to write it 10 times! :frown:
sophieca
You are lucky if after 10 times they took any notice

It's everywhere the same, I have it in my job all the time, sending informations to people and then they call me to ask exactly what is stated in the letter, it's part of the game !

And I don't tell you how many time I have to repeat the same things to my children......

If we get upset because of that, it won't resolve anything and only make us having a bad day !

I ALWAYS read the notices, never the ads, because its just paid spam but thats what we signed up for

But I for one want to know what is going on in these companise.

Good points all .. I need to mention that many members don't read English at all. Now, before you say 'well, they agree that they can read English when they sign up!' think about it... if they could read that, maybe they wouldn't have signed up, but since they CAN'T READ IT, they just sign up... LOL!

I can't believe all these script problems... sigh... and I am so technically deficient I sure can't fix 'em. I can, however, operate my toaster oven without burning too many things nowadays. Even my kids make fun of me.

My referrals and earning came back to me

ok!

My referrals went from 125 first level, down to 53,(which sounded about right, the way people drop out) then jumped back up to 125 a few days back! What happened? My guess is, they (cac) tried the fix, it didn't work, so they put it back the old way, and are now working on another fix.On a side-note, I clicked for payment before the fix, then my balance dropped to -$2 and change; then when the balance jumped back up, I figured everything must be fixed, so I clicked again, causing the webmaster to pitch a hissy at me, sending me an email telling me he was putting my payment at the bottom of the pile. No biggie, not like I was going to move into a bigger house with that $5, but I DO wish he'd put some kind of update out to the folks on the list. Till then, I guess it's just "wait and see what happens."
