I got the same email too just a couple of minutes ago.

I'm glad he isn't a member of my site. Looked up his email address and username. I REALLY was going to delete him!

I have yahoo and on the right hand side there was a tiny button...........never noticed it before....clicked it and i can see all that now...
Honestly I thought a header was what I posted in the first post you know to...from....but its only a partial one...WHODDAH THUNK IT?

I belong/ed to only four of those programs listed.........wonder where he is getting everyones addy.doesnt seem to be a common thread other than belong to various PTR-s.......not like we all belong to the same one...

A tip to deal with PTR spammers: What I do is to block the domains of the free ISPs (such as yahoo, hotmail, etc,) on the addresses I use just for PTR sites. Whilst it doesn't get rid of all spam, it does greatly reduce it. You might want to try that approach, but would only suggest using it on web-based email clients and not for your personal use ones.

BTW, one source of giving out email addresses to spam merchants is Mec-Co-Op Paid Mail. I use a different email address for each of the programs I am with and sure enough, the account I use for said program is the one that gets spammed.

I got that email too, here's what I dug up:

The headers are obviously faked, here is as much pertinent information as I could obtain:

the next hop up from my mail server (I.E. the server that connected to my server to deliver me this spam) is according to the headers from dginfo189 ([220.173.136.68])

Digging a little deeper I found that the IP is Allocated to APNIC.. Ok, lets ask APNIC about the IP.. APNIC shows us:

address: 35 Minzhu Road
address: Nanning city
address: Guangxi 530015 China
country: CN
phone: +86-771-2628775
fax-no: +86-771-2628735

So now we know who to contact to inform them that someone is using that IP to spam, and as the owner of that IP, Dong Zhou needs to investigate and handle the matter.

While I am slightly bothered by the spam.........what bothers me more so is that this person gives cause for WMs to lose faith in us clickers.....And frankly if he has gained any sign ups through this ploy then its a freebie aint it.......most clickers advertise and work their little fingers off to get a meager downline....
Let them keep sending spam my way...I'll just post it and report it...

And honestly I enjoy this industry even though I am not making much and I was about to give up on it cuz all the backbiting by EVERYONE when Peggy at Destiny and Sabrina at So red the rose restored my faith in having fun, notice not making money but having fun....As far as I am concerned and learned signing up for any program is a gamble.....

When someone cleary breaks the TOS it reflects on everyone....

So to say just block them for me is silly let him keep on and others....let them suffer the consiquences...

How many accounts did he lose today?

I received that same e-mail in my hotmail today.I used to use it for PTRs but then switched all my programs over to my yahoo.So I'm not sure where that came from.
Here is the e-mail.

As in majority here, IPs are assigned dynamically, its not so easy to trace an exact guy. (everyone in China can get accessed to the internet by dialing 163 or 169)

Just wondering, I notice a lot of people have their email showing on this forum (at the bottom of your meessages it says email) did you use the same email to sign up for tyhis forum as the spam is comming in? You should go to your ``my controls`` (top of the page) and uncheck (or check not sure wich) the box about showing your email addy

just a thought

hope it solves some problems (if it isnt the same addy I do not know what to tell you. I didnt get the email.

Interesting, if nothing else however, The ip block that the spammer used is under administrative control of the person named in the APNIC lookup. If nothing else, they should evaluate their network to try and put a stop to people spamming through their systems

He's no longer a member of SendMeCash either, folks!!! Got the heads up here, found a Spam message from him myself and another dozen messages before I could even find his username to remove him but I did and he's gone!!!

Whew!!! NEVER felt so GOOD to DELETE anyone.

No way do I feel the WM-s are responsible for this persons actions...........unless you're hold his/her little hands on the key board...

Thats why reported it here first let the WMs take action. I would be curious to know how much money and downline he lost today? Just for sending that e-mail too so many people?

I hate spam too but when it is this type of spam cleary noting PTR programs I felt the WM and fellow clickers should see it first then take further action....

I do not have my e-mail address "out" in this forum in profile so thats good but still really curious where this person gathered them ? I do know when some of the prog have you use your email addy on your referrance link thats one possiblity....

Maybe I went about this wrong......I in no why ever indicated that the WMs were up to no good....
This person will have to deal with the actions he/she set in motion..

To know your e mail I just have to click on your nickname here left, I'm then in your profile.
In your profile there's a link concerning e-mail, if I click on it my window AOL mail (write an e-mail) opens and your e-mail is written in the recipient box

He is also gone from Star-Mails too, as we do not allow spamming just like all of the programs have said here.

We don't want our program, or any program shut down because of this person. :-) I have a link to this thread and will be keeping it for records also. Thanks to everyone who has emailed me and let me know and these other POs as well.
