We have been a member of Earn4Ads since it started and have had only one PTC run in that time - WE DONT DO THIS REDEEM FOR ADS FREE - WE READ THE EMAILS TO REDEEM FOR ADS!
Below are the ads that we have requested and none of them have been run. They have been qued to run but none went out to the members.
40 cent paid email to 1000 $37.0000
40 cent paid email to 250 $9.8000
5 cent PTC to 250 $6.6500
Total Cash Debits: $ 53.4500
Required credit less the PTC $ 46.80
Cat - the total in red must be credited back to our account ASAP if you dont run them we expect the credit back! We have been more than tolorant in this.
I have also requested 2x $1 ads to run at $120 each and still they have not run when you said they would run that night. We have one of our members request a 40 cent to all that is qued but again has not gone out (user shani) 3 weeks now. This is totally unacceptable. I will only ask once and this is not open for discussion at all.
My user name is vanderwerf11 check it yourself and fix it. STOP RIPPING ME OFF! I click your ads you run mine that is the deal!

I know you redeemed before this but this might answer some of your Qs.
Hi guys. Redemptions are temporarily down. I am having problems with my host - I am talking to him right now and sorting things out.
I cannot send any email right now, which is why I haven't emailed you all to explain the situation. You won't be recieving any paid emails for the moment, as I cannot send any. Please continue to do your PTC's and PTS's as normal
You can email me at support [at]earn4ads[dot]com with any questions and I will be able to email you back, I just can't send any emails on-site at the moment.
I am very sorry about this and I am working hard to fix it ASAP, hopefully things will be back to normal within a couple of days. I promise I will keep you all as informed as possible - even if I can only let you know what's going on by writing it here!
Thanks for your patience and have a great day!!

Appreciate that - have read it - and have been given excuse after excuse - talked with cat 3 1/2 weeks ago and was told the ad would run the next day and it didnt - talked again the following week and told again it would run in a day or two and over and over and over - the very first ad never went out at all - I cant even remember when I redeemed for that one - It was in the week she opened the site.
Not good enough - If i was told origonally "i am not going to be abe to get your ad out for 6 weeks I may have sat on it or waited to redeem - but I was quite the oposite.

One thing i really hate about redeem for ads site is this:
Site Earn4ads:
Ad Name Views Clicks CTR Expires
PTC 50c to 2500 86 23 0.267 to 1 2,500 Clicks
Redeemed this ad about month a go, so it will take about 9 years to get 2,5k hits into SAS.

yes they have a ptc section that is way way too big 78 pages last i checked lol we did the ptc straight up when it started and they run through in about a week but now I would not waste my time

I agree its a waste of time to do any PTC, or even emails. Im a free member and have allready used my 2 ads, and theres $150 waiting in my account...
vanderwerf11
Mar 17 2004, 09:21 AM
See that redeem only twice a month sounds good in theory but it effectively diminishes the click through rate drastically because people will only click enough to earn there two ads a month and the rest just delete
so in the begining of the month they redeem and click like mad then after the first week nothing - not a very well thought out plan

I am going to have some breakfast and then I will be back to explain a few things.

Ok - here is the situation explained the best I can:
Paul - I have put money back into your account. The last conversation I had with you, I explained that I couldn't find your ads and apologised. I searched high and low LOL and asked you to email them to me again so I could send them. You said don't worry about it and "scrap them" (I
may be able to send you the AIM conversation about it, not sure if it was recorded or not) - then we talked about sending out your $1 ads for $120 worth of ad money each.
I did not take the money out of your account (you can check your stats to confirm this) and I will not until the ads are sent. You said you would like one sent one day and then one the next day. I lined one up ready to go in queue and then I had all these probs with my host. I cannot send any email at all. When my host has sorted this out, I can either send the ads as planned, or not send them (please let me know what you'd like to do). There is no money to give back here, as I did not debit it from your account. I think that is all you wanted answering - if I missed anything, please let me know. Thanks.
To Paul and asdf - I agree! I am not happy with the clickthrough rate either. Which is why there are a lot of improvements coming up. Here are some things that wl be happening:
1) Regular click contests for cash. Only a small amount of money at first, but in a few months, it will be for good amounts of cash- straight to PayPal/MoneyBookers?E-gold.
2) Free members ad limit being either extended or lifted, depending on the amount of clicks each member makes per week/month.
3) A forum, so I am more easily contacted etc.
4) An automated ad system.
There are more changes, but I won't go into them on here. I think that answers all questions. Thanks for reading

Yes Cat I did say scrap them after we came to the agreement that you would run those two $1 ads for me - no the money for them was not taken out, that was not the issue. After you saying that they would run the next day or two - so I thought no problem dont worry about the old ones that were lost or didnt run.
But now the $1 ads did not run and that pretty much means that out of four ads and 1 ptc only the ptc ran - so I was getting a little tiered of being told that teh ads would run the next day or that night of each of our conversations..
I will make it clear that the $1 ads were not taken out of my funds - not questioning that at all - no ads since I started clicking with you have run in 3 months is it? That is the issue.
Just the same thanks for clearing that up - when is your ETA on relaunch?

ETA was Monday, but now with these probs with my host, it's delayed
I'm working on it right now, inbetween talking to him and talking to members. I can't give a date until I find out what's happening, as that wouldn't be fair to anyone. I'll let you know as soon as I know

I understand your concern and the $1 ads will be run - as soon as I can send emails again

And, as soon as I can send emails again, "relaunch" will be going ahead ASAP.
Thanks and apologies,

Not even to let members know that couldn't send email. I have posted an update on the redemptions page, as I thought this was the best place to keep people informed.

Perhaps you may want to read the entire post before making comments about yelling. The issue with Cat was resolved in here as my conversations with Cat suggest.
Working hard and effectively are two entirely different things and we are still waiting on a "When" these changes will launch. Two weeks ago it was two days and now I am reading tommorow. It is now tommorow and still nothing has changed except for the text link color...
I am not sure how a site can have such trouble with their host as they are a dime a dozen. Perhaps in hindsite it would have been quicker to move the domain to a new host and wait 24 hours for the DNS to resolve, because you do not know that this will happen again, do you?
mvanantwerpen There was no "yelling" as you put it. It was a very clear statement of the issue. If you find offence in a factual statement then I will endevour to make my comments warm and fluffy just for you. I may not acheive the desired result but it will make you feel better....

Hey Paul...
Text links have changed colour?!

Not to my knowledge lol
Anyway, the changes we chatted about are not going to be done tomorrow - what you read was that I can send email again tomorrow and redemptions will be back up etc. Just to clear that up

Also, I did not change host because I do not have the money to do that. I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Hello Cat
I try to be polite as often as possible, though I am not always, we all lose our tempers at times. I prefer to put my suggestions in what I call a "feedback sandwich" The bread in the good stuff and the middle is the harder to swallow. like...
You are doing a fantastic job there.........
One concern is ..........................
I most certainly appreciate you efforts, thank you......
Though, not all situations are best handled in this manner as at times results are expected and quickly...
The links were a grey looking color now they are a blue looking color or it is just my eyes.
So there is still no ETA yet? Oh well...
It is a shame you can not change hosts as I am sure that if this has happened once to you it will happen again. Has the host offered compensation for loss of business? I will bet not...
Best of luck to you

I hate to say this but really people have NO business opening a business that involves other peoples time, efforts and money unless they have some capitol behind them....sorry but that is true..and that is why we see so much nonsense here..
I am continuously amazed at people who open sites when they dont have a computer *this one guy uses his work computer and asks his members for donations! Or people open a site then ask members for donations to upgrade their scripts?? or some broke vultures will jump in a thread where a failed wm is trying to shift the debt and say "ohhh...give it to me...I am broke but can I pay for the hosting next month">....helllooooo
Someone who doesnt have the money to move a site to a different host....or the money to go out and buy a new computer or get a computer fixed....or use your credit cards....or the money to buy a script....sorry no reason for people that broke to be in a business where they WASTE OTHER PEOPLE'S TIME AND MONEY....
am I saying you need to be a big corporation...like MyPoints?? well no...but....I think that with any business people should have reserves on hand, plan for a rainy day...it is ONLY FAIR....you are involving other people, and abusing their trust
..no one forces people to open these businesses....
people join the sites and follow the rules, they click click click. they promote, and then they go to redeem only to hear the wm whine or various problems..."server problems"....well as paul stated, could have been fixed in 24 hours...but no you are broke...soooo your members lose out....what a pity..
people should really think before they even open these sites or especially take on a debt ridden one....again>>> "it takes money to make money"

Well maybe you should...my first encounter with you was when you posted that you would get back to me "later " that day perhaps via im after I had politely emailed you about advertising....that was before I realized ads only sites dont get much response..
after watching you posting all over the forum and lollygagging around and not hearing from you for several days I posted behind one of your many posts and asked what was up?? It was the end of the month, I had more ads to place and had expected to hear from you...
from YOUR high and mighty stance, you said you felt I was being rude and demanding and you didnt need that...well guess what...I pay paypal cash ahead of time and I pay more than the going % rate LOL....
and then....you lied...you stated that you had "told me you were busy and it could be several days" blah blah blah....no you never told me that, I have posted every post and proved it...maybe you thought you told me that, but what you told me was that you would get back to me later that day, tuesday....and by friday you had not...and then you said you told me that..busy busy....still you want to act the busy superior wm LOL
face facts...a wm who cant afford hosting is NO businessperson....act superior, act frazzled, act busy....but lets be honest here....wm who are broke have NO business wasting people's time....while the server problems droned on from the middle of march till tommorrow....people were waiting for ads to go out...NPA's were tanked...some ads are time sensitive..and hey the shaky way this biz goes some people may have ads waiting for programs that have folded in the past 2 weeks...everyone's time and efforts were wasted...
in fact, I also question how soooo many overworked, swamped, busy busy wm have the time to post nonsense in this forum when they ought to be sending out ads, approaching new clients for biz, taking care of existing clients, or getting a job at McDonalds to pay the darn hosting??? hmmmm
