Hi everyone. I came here before asking how to get banner images to my site and how to send them to other programs. Well, I signed up at myimgs.com and boom, everything was going well, then I redeemed at a bunch of my ptr's and what do you know, I went over my limit of bandwidth and none of my banners show. I didn't even know I had a limit. Now can you tell me where else I can go (for free) and get more, or move my banner to be seen again, help if you can, you folks are great, Anita

Hello Anita

Is there any reason why you want to use just banners? They do work but the stats are usually around 14 clicks to 10000 views. There are better ways to get your site out there.

Thanks everyone for your help. Hey Paul can you give me more advice on getting my site out. When I redeem it usually is for banners because that is what I can do at the moment, Thanks again, Anita

I;ve had some luck with paid to click banners, but not much with banner impressions. I find the paid to click banners handy when I cant think of anything to write in an ad for a site, I am not keen on just doing copy and paste.

Another web host for storing and serving images is photobucket.

A tip on how to maximise the number of times your banner can be seen within the bandwidth limits is when you are saving the banner to your computer, right click and look at the size of the banner in kb. Choose the banner with the lowest size in kb that is offered for that program and you will get more views before you run out of bandwidth. Say the web host offers 10mb over a month and your banner is 50kb you will get your banner seen roughly 200 times, if the banner is only 10kb it can be seen 1000 times before you run out of bandwidth (this is also called transfer-you also have storage bandwidth limits on hosting accounts, that is just add up the kb size for each of the banners you are storing while they are sitting in your account)

If you know how to use paintshoppro you can reduce the size of a banner by saving it with higher compression before you upload to your web space.

A couple more suggestions. Most isp's offer x amount of webspace for the members. A lot of new folks dont realize this and you could ftp (or some are offering website upload now) your banner to your site. They allow much more bandwith usually then free sites.

Here are a couple other places that offer more bandwith and storage:

100mb hosting
600 mb bandwidth transfer

http://www.freewebspace.com/

Do a search on goggle for free webspace, and the amount of bandwith you would like as well. For instance: Free webspace, 100mb, 600mb bandwith.

Another thing is some of the sites if you email the webmaster will take your banner from you. I suggest you email the PO first. But a couple of the programs I am with just have me email the banner with my link to them.

I use both banners and ads to advertise I found that I get better results with ads but do get results with the banners. I also belong to a couple programs that have cash and points and points can be redeemed for ads. hillbilly hangout is great for this. Points ad up fast and you can advertise quite a bit banners or ads and still keep your cash. A few other sites do the same thing which I really love. I get ads and still can keep my cash.
