I have been new to this pay per click, for about a week now. At first I thought, oh great, how cool..........and THEN........I found out about alllllllll the scams.

Its pretty sickening and in my book equals to THEFT & FRAUD. In my short week 3 sites closed and 3 others were having problems, one of which is CourtJesters. Now I have realized that when there is a "problem".....eventually the site will be shutting down. CJ was noting a "problem" with the site, next thing you know YOU LOST EVERYTHING IN YOUR ACCOUNT? looooooooooolllll CJ even deleted my account BEFORE I EVEN COMPLAINED! I figured she was another loser and SHE IS!

I know the advertising memeber theory works.....IF its HONEST & LEGITIMATE. Otherwise, the fly by night guys, come in make their $ and bail in a month or so STIFFING THE MEMBERS. Just gives me a sick feeling of being a mule. AND I HATE MULES

To try and avoid this.......I am still remaining as a member at the other sites, and still skeptical (route66, lost50s, rocknroll, lionsolo,webbercash, etc) BUT I REGISTERED AT THE SITES FROM BEENPAID.COM......even though Heavymetalmails SCAM .....got approved....I feel better knowing a site has been and will be in business for a while!

Beware of new sites opening and what they are offering, thats for sure! 9 outta 10 will just be scams!

layla7213, just to let you know that court jesters isn't a scam and i have been paid by her, but everyone has their own opinion. i also won a gold membership with court jesters and i am very happy the way she runs her site. that's my 2 cents, but like i said everyone has their own opinion.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinon. Ok you were paid by her, you didnt mention how much and when. Most likely it was early on and won't happen again.

Also you make NO MENTION about something that would set anyone off......the last email.......where EVERYONES BALANCE IS 0 (ZERO) and will apply credits to the new site LOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL I won't be there either. Already spammed her at aol all of us did!

Let's do a follow through for the sake of me proving shes another con! , like I said in the other post, up come the "problems" LOL But here we go:

she sends out mail pretty ticked that people are "just" clicking for earnings (red flag #1)
Then she sends out email that said she ACCIDENTLY emailed out a mistaken email for $20 and now the accounts are messed up. (red flag #2)

I sent her an email and said THERE WAS NO EMAIL SENT FROM YOU....not to me...my sis.....my other 2 friends that I had refer under me..she is LYING!!!!!!

Then my account was -17 and change.

Finally, she was "trying to fix the problem" and give the respectable credits, and using her "backup".......THEN SHE CAN'T EVEN DO THAT USE THE BACK UP AND NOW EVERYONES ACCOUNT IS 0

Layla: By "things like that" I meant your comment about spamming the WM of Court Jesters and the excessive use of caps. No, this is not a business, but we do still observe rules of common courtesy here and one of the first rules of good internet manners is to not use all caps excessively. Of course we all use them sometimes for emphasis, so that's no big deal at all - it's when the bulk of the post is typed that way that it crosses the line and becomes rude.

The only reason I left Court Jesters was simply because I had to cut down my programs to only my absolute favorites due to lack of time. My final choice came down to CJ and one other program and since I didn't have any referrals in CJ, I decided that would be the one I'd leave.

I had absolutely no complaints with the program itself at all.

WOW Layla all your screaming really got our attention....
First I have no idea if these programs are scam the sad thing is most aren't but the bad ones are the ones screamed about so thats all we see...

You see the script I use can tell me dates of logins as well as all the other information you provide when you signup be it your sisters or not I personally do not care. Your ip address is recorded and it can easily be found where you are really from.

You had been a member for just over a week and you think I'm going to randomly pick a member who has earned $2.50 and just delete them?

My site has only been online for just over a month, have I even had the opportunity to scam anyone when it comes to payouts?

Funny how you fail to mention that a few days before you threatened myself and my children in your twisted email that you had emailed me asking for advice on whether or not Tropicalmails was going to shut down like all the others had. I replied to you in a very kind and polite email explaining that i had no intention of going anywhere and hoped that I had helped you. In return a few days later you send me that email.

It is one thing to attack me but I strongly suggest you leave my children out of any future correspondence.

A hex? Now I know where this all comes from! So let me get this straight, you couldn't login to your account and you make the effort to contact "your friend" to put a hex on me?

I agree with the above posts you need help. How dare you threaten my children and myself, read your own email, it was definately a threat.

Layla, you should be ashamed of yourself. You should go check yourself into a mental institution or something. Threatening a PTR owner's children because you can't log into their site? Did you forget to refill your Prozac?

I for one, will NOT stand by and let you bad mouth these sites. All of them have been perfectly good to me, and they have great WM's. I think you are just out to cause problems for everyone.

I would have taken that same email as a threat also so if you didnt mean it that way you should watch how you write things for making threats upon people is a serious thing!

I have read the post here on this subject while surfing around in here and there is something I don't understand Layla....

If you suddenly couldn't log in, why didn't you just email the support address and ask for help. Why jump the gun and claim you were deleted without all the facts, I mean if you liked the site and all, why go to the trouble of sending a poison pen email and make threats? I read the email about your email to the wm and seems to me that it was a threat no matter how you meant it.

You said you were deleted and in another post it states where you logged in your account. So are you still in the site or not? If you think you were scammed then delete your account. It is really easy to do, most sites just log into your members area and go to user info and delete the account at the bottom of the page. Or was that so hard? And if you have reported the site for spamming to AOL why are you still a member? Don't you realize that there is proof that you are wrong? As a member of a site you agreed to get emails from the site and to stop them you have to delete your account?

You have been in the ptr for about a week, and as stated by someone else you already consider yourself an expert on what is scam and what isn't. It is members like you that yell cheat, theif and scammer before getting all the facts, that give honest webmasters a bad reputation.

You stated "I don't want any trouble with anyone, I don't want or need any drama, arguments, etc". So what do you think all this is. By jumping the gun and making the threat started all this, so if you wanted to avoid this why not just email and request your account be deleted?

I agree there are sites out there that are scams and they can be found by looking around in here as well as the gptboycott site, I have never seen this site posted on either

By your email you have put webmasters on the look out as you have proven yourself a trouble maker. I too am a PO and hate it when I get emails from members that are mad, but usually they are wanting information not threatening me and calling me a cheater. When I reply with an explanation they calm down or have calmed down before they get a reply. Are you so hot headed that you can't get more information before jumping to conclusions and making accusations?

I am not perfect by any means, but I do know how to talk to people and treat them with a little respect even if I don't have any for them. You get better results when you choose your words wisely.

Or are you one of those people that feel that because you hide behind a computer screen think it gives you the right to treat people like they were dirt under your feet? Webmasters are people too, not just a computer program that runs the sites. We have feelings and concerns and care about our members and it hurts just as bad to be stomped on without justification as it does to be slapped in the face. Is that what you were out to do? Slap her in the face? Okay you did, does it make you feel better? does it make you feel any bigger?

From my side of things not knowing what is going on other than what I have read here your comments make you seem mighty small. Karma or no karma, it is all really a matter of belief, and I don't believe in Karma, so your statement was taken as a threat and to make a threat against a person you have never met, will never know beyond words on a screen and to include children is the worst thing you could have done to state your case.

Maybe you need to take a lesson in desency and learn how to get your point across in a different fashion

How about if we PTR site owners start boycotting users that "appear" to be scammers and cheats without asking them why they're having a problem clicking the right turing numbers (even though the print might too small and could be the problem and could easily be fixed just by asking rather than accusing right off the bat?)?

Or, why they appear to have two accounts set up even though there are two different email addresses used for their payouts (perhaps they're husband and wife and emailing and asking them calmly to explain the situation could solve the problem).

Would these things seem fair? I've been a PTR owner for just 3 months and I can't believe the things members have said to other owners. If we talked like that to our members, we would be closed down (and rightfully so!).

I'll be looking out for you layla. I have enough problems just getting members to stop using email addresses that bounce the emails THEY signed up to receive let alone this kind of harrassment whether it was meant literally or whatever!

I think I can understand Layla7213 in a way.A lot of webmasters are scammers and I have been a victim in many circumstances too,having worked for them for nothing,it's rather frustrating and the smallest thing that happens on other websites we have a tendancy to think it's about to happen again.

BUT...there's a way of doing things POLITELY and THREATS will not help the situation.It will worsen because you risk having the police arrest you because they have every right to do so under the law.

If this webmistress asks them to, they will get themselves a warrant and go directly to the server and with your email adress they will find out where you live and arrest you.

Your way of doing things is rather despicable,you lack good manners to say the least.You will get nothing this way,only more trouble.Think about it!!!

I have read the email that was sent and it sounded like a threat to me. How dare you layla to threat that nice wm and her children. I SAY GO STRAIGHT TO THE POLICE!! layla don't seem to have any remorce for her actions, and seems to think cause she's looking at a computer screen she can't be seen. it's people like this that thinks they can rule the net. pick the phone up right now and call the police and i bet miss layla will have a different look on things the next time she looks into her computer screen..

First,I would like to say that I belong to 40,yes 40,PTR sites and out of those 40 only one may be shutting down. They are trying to sell the site first,if it doesn't sell,they will close. I also belong to AdClickNetwork and my money and points have recently started disappearing from my account(I was only a few dollars from payout. Then they raised the payout amount on my redemption page to $40,but the home page still says $30.I have emailed them and am still waiting for a reply,but I am not sending nasty messages or screaming scam. That is 2 out of 40 sites,I think that's pretty good.

Now,as far as Heavy-Metal goes,Bruce was doing a great job with that site. The man has a full time job and a family,too. He could no longer spend the amount of time required to keep it running smoothly,but he didn't close the site. There is a new owner and the site will be getting back to normal within a week or so. Is this a scam? I doubt it,considering the new owner is the owner of another PTR site that is,from what I hear,doing well. Where you got scam out of this,I don't know.

I just joined Tropical about a week ago. I have WAY more than $2.50 in my account and I,like MANY others,was unable to login the other night. It happens,there are server issues and sometimes it could be our own computers. I didn't lose my head and start assuming the site was a scam. Sure thing,next morning I can log in just fine. That also happened to be the morning that Jami posted that email she got from you. Doesn't it seem like it was more than likely that you just had the same problem as everyone else? That maybe you went a little too far and didn't try to resolve the problem before flying off the handle?


I'm not saying that further down the road all of these sites will still be around,but that's a wait and see issue. Businesses fail sometimes,it's just a fact. It doesn't make us happy,but there isn't much we can do about it. If you feel uncomfortable somewhere,then just pack up and move on to the next site. It's as simple as that. You can never get back the time that you spent there and if they can't or don't pay you,then don't waste anymore time there.

I've not been doing PTR that long myself, just under a month. Yes there are some dodgy ones out there but what you are doing is NOT the way to go about doing something about it.

There's a well known phrase - you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time! You need to learn that - as well as some manners!!

I have not been happy with some of the programs I was with so you know what I did? I left. Deleted my account. No email was sent to the WM because my doubts were MY doubts, and may have been misplaced but rather than cause trouble for the WM and members I left. Just as you should have done.

I am also a very happy and proud member of well over a hundred sites and if I think there is a problem then I'll contact the WM POLITELY and ask what's happening!

Still, since you are obviously mentally unstable, (I should know because I see a therapist regularly!) you won't take any notice of this or any of the other very good posts that are in here.

Have a good life and do us all a favour - stay AWAY from PTR - you don't have what it takes to be a member.

You may not be scared just yet but if she takes my advise i bet you will be. you are a very cold person and i'm not sure what tree you fell out of but where i came from the short was is a bus for very special children. which we all already know you don't give a beating word censor about children. i feel sorry for yours if you are smart enough to have any.

I am what's known as a *seer* in the indian nation and I do feel your *karma* lady is very much so in the wrong as are you. You speak alot of *wiccan* ways when you mention 10 fold and such..

Let me explain a few other perspectives to you.
1) I am also new to the PTR world 3 weeks as a matter of fact. But in turn has made quite a good downline and earnings because I've learned how to promote and take care of the people and sites that I chose. Just because one has problems does not give you the right to call them a scammer or anything of such. You my dear need a reality check cause your living in some kind of dream world. *yes lil apache took her meds this morning* See I know how to take that joke.

2) I have been with CJ for a short time and I personally think she is an awesome WM. At least she does have the descency to let us know what is goin on. I clicked on that $20 add I don't mind that I was rolled back.. Mistakes do happen and I know how hackers can be. If you had not received a message that she sent out today? She is trying to correct the money issue. But you obviously wouldn't know that now would you.

Next time you really must choose your words WISELY because the letter you did send was perceived as a threat. Careful what you do or your *karma* will come back on you worse than 10 fold... is that not what is written in *wiccan* culture?

This is so obviously NOT someone who is a one week "veteran" in the PTR world.

I don't know who it is, but I think it's time to find out.

You pretty much proved my point by your response: you don't like being called a cheater or scammer, but you're quick to label someone else that without taking the time to find out if there's a problem with the script, or server, or whatever.

Jami, Kristen and many others of us pay our members out of our own pockets because people paying for advertising are far and few between. To have someone email one of us and have things such as were apparently said in your email to Jami really makes a lot of us wonder "what's the point in trying to be nice with our members if this is the type of response we're going to get when a problem such as logging in causes someone to go into convulsions and totally freak out on us?"

The point is, before you just email a webmaster of ANY type of site and go off on them like you did Jami, how about thinking about it a moment and find out if they even KNOW there's a problem? We can't be awake 24/7, nor can we prevent server problems as we too pay for our hosting just like everyone else does. We don't have the server in our back pocket to just look at and repair on a whim.

Darwin's Paid Emails and The Traffic Project are the two websites I own. Now I've gotta go deal with bounced emails because my members haven't changed their email addresses like I've emailed and asked them to several times due to them bouncing. Good thing you're not a PTR owner. You'd probably go off on me in a fit of rage because your email to me bounced, huh?

No one can know everything there is to know about an entire industry in 3 weeks.
Yes, there are a few scammers out there, but if the entire industry was that way do you really think thousands of us would be wasting our time and money here? Think about that. Thousands of people...not a handlful.

Some programs have problems. All websites have problems. Not just the paid to read industry. Every website has some down time. Free sites are bound to have more than one that you will have to pay a hefty fee to participate in.

The people behind these programs work very hard and they have feelings. Many are not making much if any profit at all. The mails and postings you are sending are being sent in ignorance because you don't have enough information. Think before you speak so you don't hurt someone's. I'm saying this from experience.

I'm just curious... what is your definition of "scam"?

We are paid to read emails. DO YOU READ THEM?

The WM for court jesters sent out many emails letting us know what was going on. Unfortunately, PTR's are run by humans. Even worse - they're run by humans who have to depend on computers. Computers crash - humans make mistakes. She is doing everything she can to get our earnings back and make it right. That makes it a scam?

In my opinion, a true scam artist takes the money and runs. They don't offer explanations to their members. They don't try to make things right. They just disappear.

How many civil emails have you exchanged with any PTR WM? I belong to over 100 programs. I'm by no means an expert, but I've been doing this about 3 months now - so I think I can at least say I have more experience than someone who had been around for a week. I've had contact with many different WM's and I find them all to be great people. They're very reasonable, approachable and HONEST. I'm NOT saying that there are not dishonest ones out there by any means - but you're definately jumping on the wrong people here.

If you can't log in to your account... Don't ASSUME that it's gone. You've been in PTR's a week - how long have you had a computer, 10 days? Do you not know that websites tend to have problems sometimes that just can't be helped?

You also mentioned Heavy Metal Mails. What makes you think that's a scam? Is it because the site has been down? Again I must ask, DO YOU READ THE EMAILS YOU ARE PAID TO READ? We were warned it was going to happen. We were told it couldn't be helped. Other PTR's have emailed us updates about HMM letting us know it WILL BE BACK. That PTR does pay well but I'm pretty sure you have not reached the $50 payout already, so what makes it a scam?

I also have to wonder how you would think you've been scammed anyway. I think it's safe to say you have not paid to upgrade in any of these programs. I doubt you have ever spent a cent on an ad. You've spent some time clicking on links. So if any of these programs had scammed you, all you're out is TIME. YES they all claim that they'll pay their members, but you're not even giving them a chance. How close-minded can a person be? OOPS 404NotFound error = SCAM. Can't log-in or server offline error = SCAM. Give me a break.

The bottom line here is that you never even bothered to find out if you could possibly have a legitimate complaint. I don't care if it's the internet - you are dealing with real human beings here and there is a level of common courteousy that everyone should maintain. You haven't shown ANY respect for these WM's, the time they put into their programs or even the fact that they DO recognize their mistakes and try to make things right. You choose to go right to threats.

You click on paid links (probably cheat ones too, since it doesn't sound like you bother reading emails). Which part of your warped mind thinks it's actually ok to email someone to threaten their family? Is that FUN for you? I've been online for 10 years or more now and my BIGGEST pet peeve is people who think that just because they're on a computer, they don't have to treat others with respect. Get a grip. I would like to see all of the honest WM's make sure that you are not a part of their program. Heaven forbid if they need to switch servers and go offline for a day or two and have you threaten them and their families too. Nobody needs that. For just one second put yourself in their shoes. Just PRETEND you're an honest person trying to run an honest site, and things keep happening with the computer that you just can't help. You do everything you can to explain things to your members and be fair. Obviously people aren't going to be very happy but do you really think that entitles them to make threats to you and your family? I don't think so.

Normally I am against abuse to women, but in this case Layla needs her beating word censor whipped. Where I am from we would have took you in the pee infested stairwell of the south bronx building I grew up in and beat you down Layla for saying that about someones kids.

That was not my first email to her it was my last. Let her put them all out here. I have them as well. If you want them all.....just email me and Ill forward the entire lot of hers and mine.

In a LONG nut shell....emails members complaining & begging for people to buy advertisements....then sends out a thank you for the "donations"....her subject was "you guys have me in tears".....then she sends out an email....stating that a 20 dollar link went out......and it never did........just so she can -20 from all accounts.....THEN....she says she cannot find the back up....and everyones account is at 0 and shes very sorry.........hmmmmmm

After I send an email to her, saying, I asked you if you were going to shut down like the rest........now this?, etc.....After sending that email....I wanted to go into my account to delete it.....it was gone...my friends were on but not mine........that is when I sent her the Loser email.

Let her post them all here. I have all except the beggin one. Let her also post, when I last logged into CourtJesters....and how my account was deleted? Im sure there is a way to tell.

Anyways, thats a long nut shell lol

I agree 100 percent with jhilborn. You are so new to things, you know nothing of what actually goes on. You have no idea on how a ptr program operates, or what all a webmaster has to deal with.

Add duckhousemail to the list of sites you will avoid. I like dealing with my members that are loyal, even the ones that have almost no grasp of english and write in with problems. I don't want members that will go off half cocked at the first little problem and yell cheat. and all your santimonious junk.

You need an education on how things work, and instead of asking for help you jump at the first problem you have. Webmaster don't need members like you. You talk big and self rightious. You think you are the only one that has been scammed? Not a week and already an expert.

I have been in the ptr industry over 2 years and the last year as a webmaster, so I know both sides like many webmasters on the net. But even I knew enough when I started to ask questions on things I didn't understand or problems I had.

A child is smart enough to do that. you talk about education levels, what is your?

In a LONG nut shell....emails members complaining & begging for people to buy advertisements....then sends out a thank you for the "donations"....her subject was "you guys have me in tears".....then she sends out an email....stating that a 20 dollar link went out......and it never did........just so she can -20 from all accounts.....THEN....she says she cannot find the back up....and everyones account is at 0 and shes very sorry.........hmmmmmm

After I send an email to her, saying, I asked you if you were going to shut down like the rest........now this?, etc.....After sending that email....I wanted to go into my account to delete it.....it was gone...my friends were on but not mine........that is when I sent her the Loser email.

Let her post them all here. I have all except the beggin one. Let her also post, when I last logged into CourtJesters....and how my account was deleted? Im sure there is a way to tell.

Need to learn more about them before you make acusations you can't back up. As far as not getting one of the emails, whos to say that your isp server didn't lose it.

Aol, Yahoo and several other servers were having problems not long ago and emails were not recieved. I had problems with that myself. So who knows what you didn't get, or even bothered to check to see about.

Good Grief woman.. You need to take a large dose of REALITY! I've been in the PTR realm long enough to that websites have problems, servers crash, things get screwed up. Its no reason to go flying off the handle at anyone! Give it time and ride out the storm!

As far as your *hex* & your ideas of *karma*.. First off, karma comes back 3 fold and if it is Wiccan law that you follow, remember the Rede "and harm ye none do as ye will". The Rule of Three will get you in the end, my disillusioned friend.

Like someone stated eariler in the post, you have a problem with a webmaster fine, keep it between you and the webmaster and work it out. No reason to bring innocent children or family into it
