Yes the problem is that the scripts are out of date and it does not allow members to see the actual referral percentages set by the program. We have to take it as correct what is those stated on the main page.

I don't upgrade all the software on my computer. I don't see that programs should have to do that if they don't want to, just cause some people might like to see this new runner. Sure I'm as curious as anyone else.
But wms, don't fall into the pay-more-and-get-an-upgrade line from the script seller. That can be part of the ploy.

They automatically appear in the admin area as they are available, so as soon as you login to admin, there it is!

It's all part of John's upgrades. Like he's said in this forum, several times. He's the one who got that nice little scripts/runner line going, because he suspected/knew that "some" po's knew well the numbers were wrong.
I haven't figured out why some folks don't update. I know some hold out for a while til bugs are fixed, but why wait
so late? Isn't it more beneficial to update at least semi-regularly?

Unless it's a critical security update, I usually hold out for a few days to make sure no bugs pop up.

I think you misunderstood the question. I asked why do "SOME" po's not update for long periods of time. Not short ones. The two ladies above answered as to why they wait. Bugs. Which I AM aware of.

Isn't it possible for the runner.php output to be faked? Of course, this would require a crafty PO with at least "some" software skills...
I've noticed in at least 1 of my programs programs my ref earnings strangely
increased after they changed their TOS by supposedly lowering the ref percentages
I was not doing anything different and always far exceeded the activity requirements

hmm let me restate that, yes quite easily for someone who can edit the scripts without messing up the site, and also be willing to do that each update, or never update the scripts. Many are capable of that technically, and probably some are capable of that ethically as well, however the larger percentage imo could not or would not.
Susy

I understand, Mary. Perfectly. It's that small percentage that bothers me. There ARE ethical program owners, I've never said there weren't. It's just very sad some things we find out.

Nope, you're not the only one. And although I had weird feelings
something was hinky, I didn't really

I guess the OP made a mistake.
CashYou.com does not show the ref % on their home page.
They list their ref % in their FAQ section, exactly at the same % mentioned by the OP of this thread:
| QUOTE |
What can I earn through referrals? Members will earn 20% of their direct referral earnings, 10% of their indirect referral level earnings, 5% of their 3rd level referral earnings, 3% of their 4th level referral earnings, 2% of their 5th level referral earnings and 1% of their 6th level referral earnings. |
Yet at the:
http://www.cashyou.com/scripts/runner.php link, it shows this:
CashCrusader Version:1.92
Last MySQL backup from admin: 17.22 days
Commissions settings:
Point ads: 15,5,2,2,1,1 %
Cash ads: 15,5,2,2,1,1 %
Must login every 15 days and
be at least 70% as active as your downline to get commission from downline clicks
Sales Commission: %
So, regardless of WHERE cashyou.com lists their ref %, the fact remains that no one is being credited properly for their referral earnings.

They have a copyright notice at the bottom of the page showing 2004, doesnt that mean the site was founded in 2004? The dont seem to have many members (about 400ish from the ad prices but it isnt stated) and I have never seen the site advertised before.
