Hi.
I am concidering switching to CC.. Not all my members get my ads, there is a bug in the referral system, it is hard to delete the referralcontest stats and CC has a lot more features
But is it possible just to adjust the database, or will i have to sign all the members up gain in the new script?..
Are there any other good alternatives?

You can upgrade to Create Your GetPaid, which is also $99.95 and the convertor converts all members and referrals/earnings very easily.

A myptr converter comes with the script. It moves all the members and their earnings into the cc script.

What's the difference? What disadvantages?

It would be better if you did upgrade to cc then you would get more members.

Probably because Cashcrusaders has been there a long time before Create Your GetPaid and because almost all program owners here use Cashcrusaders. The Create Your GetPaid program owners are on their own forum:

It aint hard.
These are just options of your FTP-client.
For CHMOD, for most clients, just right click on the file and go to properties, chmod or something
ASCII and binary are the two modes for uploading/downloading files.
Most of the time this is set to auto, but for .cygp and .main will be uploaded by default in ASCII, but you need to change the setting to binary.
Which FTP-program are you using?
Then I will be able to help you a little more.

there is something wrong with the admins mailserver right now, so i wonder if any of you could help me:
A friend of mine is trying to help me with installing the script and moving the DB info from the old script to the new one manually, (because my host only allow one mysql database, and two is needed to use that converter-thing.. i only have 60members btw) but now he gets this error message:
An error occured while processing your input:
Can\'t open MySQL database.
MySQL said: Can\'t connect to local MySQL server through socket \'/tmp/mysql.sock\' (2)
Do you know why it says that, and how we can solve the problem?
I have the meberinfo in a .csv file..

Contact support, they will answer all questions. But CC-scripts are not much better, because they also have mistakes.

That error is caused by a problem with MySQL on the server where you host your website. It has nothing to do with a script.

sad peter...you have been asking questions on the forum the past month...why didnt you ask this before you got the myptr script?? I personally was looking for a script to start a program and it did not take long to see that most prefer the cc scripts....
seems only price is the reason people buy myptr ...lot of problems..
but..didnt you see that 2 weeks ago?? I am amazed..
all this talk of "sustainable" prices etc...and your program is down..
I personally have come to the conclusion that people with the cheap scripts..esp that 5 buck sript..are wayyy underfinanced...I wont advertise with them period..JMO

some time the old data base need to remove befor the new scpirt can wirt the tables
this a porblem if you use the same db name
some scpirt well over write it but soem wel not

As far as i know, my host only provides one database per customer. So that guy that is trying to help me installing it has downloaded all the meberinfo to a .csv file, so we can install the other script propertly.
But then we got that mysql message.. I know nothing about it, but i have written my host support, and i'll see what happends..

you can export the data base with your phpadmin. it well save it as a .sql file
tahn you can use a progarm like crimson editor to pick torw the data base
and cut and paste all the inof to the new dat base when you have it install.
takes more time but you well not lose any info
i like useing crimson editor because it does add any thing to it

i was ashamed to see my name listed as a cheat.
i have been with you now for 3-4 years and cant undersatnad why you would think i would cheat on you now.
however i do appologise and will make sure that infuture things will be different.

This is not recomanded, because of the different database style!

You could also edit the converter.
First you need to rename the users table to users2
Then you need to open the converter file.
and change this
$q = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM " . $mptrdbname . ".users");
to:
$q = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM " . $mptrdbname . ".users2");
Also I think that this line is missing almost at the top (under the copyright-text):
include "lib/.htconfig.php";
And anoter note: Please make sure you've already run install.php file and replaced myptr.php to the public_html directory

a unix path well look like /home/x-trahit/public_html/lib/.main.php
C:/Www/web/ is usaly use on a windows or nt server
as for as all the webshigt i have mess with installing scpirt on
i use a scpirt call getenv.pl to find all the path the sciprt is write bye Chris Bruce
you sould have a file call displaypath.php it also find all the path for you
