They deactivated my account, after I accrued over $27. They said they don't allow incentivised accounts. Why did they approve my site when I applied then? They knew it was incentivised.

No, they waited until I had $27, then deactivated it, without even telling me.

Then, when I send an email asking why, they tell me because I am an incentivised site, they have gotten fraud reports about me, and that I am not welcome on their site.

Yet, they still allow me to login, and they still approve me for offers, I just can't use the links.

I say, if you are a webmaster, don't use ClixGalore. They'll let you sign up, let you accrue money, then when it comes time to get paid, tell you you are a fraud and not pay.

Juliette
not meaning to sound horrible but didn't you read the terms and conditions of the site before you signed up??

Most places don't allow incentivised sites because it really does defeat the purpose of people paying you to give them unique traffic/people/referrals whatever!

what was your website (if you don't mind me asking?)
kimberley49
Yes, I read the terms and conditions. But, they are the last word, and they approved my site. They had the option of to turn me down, I have been turned down by other programs. So, why did they accept me if my site wasn't acceptable?

btw, Titanic Rewards is my site.

Here is a sort of update.

If my account is deactivated and I am not welcome at ClixGalore (their words), how come I keep getting emails with the latest sites that I qualify for signing up for?

If I can't make any money there, they need to quit sending me emails. All of which I am saving. May need them...

you cant offer to PAY people to click the links, thats what they mean, just like most search sites, when u put thier ulr in your paid email area they know,

If you join any other sites like that, try doing this,
Use the banners on your banner rotation, that way they are there IF people chose to click them and they do
Or if you have a sponsor spot or non paid email just use the dircect ulr

Hope this helps for Furture Referrence

I even bought from some of those programs, and my own earnings havent increased a single part. I don't see why I should go through these people anymore, it looks cut and dry to me, I never got a response to numerous emails.
kimberley49
You know what else. Their payout is $50. If you don't reach it, it rolls over to the next month, but they deduct $1 for each month that there is a balance in your account.

Their exact words in one of their last emails (after they threatened to sue me if I told anyone they didn't pay. I told them I was going to tell my members that they didn't pay me and they said if I did that, they would bring legal action. That's why I am saving every single email). Anyway, their words were they don't allow incentivised sites AT ALL. Which is why I don't understand why they approved my site when I signed up for the account. So, it wouldn't have mattered where the banners were, or if the members were getting incentivised, ClixGalore still would have cancelled my account. See, now, they get to keep the $27 they owed me. What if they did that to all the accounts?

After they threatened to sue, I emailed back and asked why I keep getting emails from them if my account has been deactivated. That was 5 days ago, and I have yet to get a response from them about that. The only emails I get from them now are telling me about their newest programs, or my "merchant matching" thing.

My opinion is, they are full of you-know-what.

I am NEVER dealing with them again, no matter what happens in the future. They aren't worth it.

NOTE: The last sentence is my opinion only. I am asserting my first amendment right to say that I don't like the program and that it is not worth my time.

Direct from their TOS...

"clixGalore do not accept 'Paid to Surf' websites and Member programs. clixGalore reserve the right to refuse payment and terminate any such Member program that clixGalore deems to be of such nature. The definition of a 'Paid to Surf' program is entirely at the discretion of clixGalore. "

and at the bottom of the signup page....

"NOTE: Sites that promote pornography, racism, 'paid to click' or 'paid to surf' or any illegal activity are prohibited. ClixGalore will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of these provisions and reserves the right to remove and suspend its services to members who violate these provisions immediately. "

:::shrug::::

if they approved it though, they should have known.
kimberley49
I know what the TOS says. But why did they approve it?

Look at it this way:
If a 12-year-old emails me and asks to sign up saying that they will be 13 in a couple of months, and I let them sign up. Can't they just assume that means that they are a full-fledged member and they will be getting paid when they request it?

If I give them permission to join the site, then they can logically conclude from that that they will be allowed to get paid the money that they will earn in those 2 months before they turn 13. Since I gave them permission to join, when they request payment, I can't say, "Oh, I'm sorry, you are only 12 years old, read the TOS, you are not welcome here." Since they were lead to believe they would be paid, they should get paid.

When my site was approved, I was lead to believe I would get paid. I didn't realize that I would be used for a couple of weeks to collect money for ClixGalore.

I emailed CG and asked, "since you are not paying me, does that mean you are returning the money to the merchant?" The response I got was that I was a fraud and not welcome there. He did not say he was returning the money to the merchant. That leads me to believe that CG kept the money. They knew full well when they approved my site that it was an incentivised site. They just exercised that clause when they realized I was going to make over $50 and would have to get paid.

Why didn't they exercise that clause and not approve my site when I signed up?

If you don't want the site, don't approve it. It was as simple as that.

Besides, from what I understand, not just Wayne, but from other people also, a lot of people have had problems with getting paid or credits from ClixGalore.

The more I learn about CG, the happier I am that I am not welcome there.

I have found plenty of affilate programs that do allow incentivised sites to sign up, and I have heard good things about them. LeadHound, Shareasale, FineClicks, and Commission Junction all allow incentivised sites to sign up for the program, they just aren't allowed to sign up for all the programs listed. I'll stick to the ones I know will pay me.

If they are such upstanding people, why did they threaten to sue me just because I said I was going to tell all my members that CG wasn't going to pay me? I was not rude to them at all. They were the ones rude to me in the emails they sent me.

kimberley49
That little NOTE at the bottom of the signup page was added recently, more recently than when I signed up with my site.

Also, don't you think that if they don't want me or my site, they should quit sending me email?

--Kim

You should write to those merchants/advertisers and tell them you were canned and that they should request a refund! Hehehe....think of the administrative nightmare!
kimberley49
I didn't think of that. It would drive them crazy, because there were a lot of them. About 10 or 15, anyway.

Someone else said I should notify the Better Business Bureau, and I've already did that. I doubt it'll do any good, since they do have that TOS, but hopefully it'll still go on their record or something.

Now, if I can find all the programs that I had belonged to. There is no way I am logging into that CG account. I know it's still there, since I'm still getting those emails, but there is no way I am going to let them have documentation saying that I logged in after I was "deactivated". They'll be bringing that into court when/if they sue me.

If they do sue me, they have a rude awakening, as I have saved every single email including the recent ones that are "merchant matching profile" or whatever.

I've been buying a ton of goods, and my account isnt displaying anything. I expect at the very least to earn for my own purchases. The strong arm tactics don't work with me, if they don't pay, i'll go squeal like a stuffed pig to the merchants ad.gif
kimberley49
They'll probably add to the TOS that you can't purchase from your own link or something.

OMG!

I think it is sad that this "suing" business always gets brought up... It seems to me That in USA they have nothing better to do than sue each other...

Kimberley hang in there - they are acting like rude monkeys - just keep doing your thing on your site!

I just took down all their links, and I am not having anything more to do with them. I don't need them.

I was an affiliate of ClixGalore. I refuse to use them now because commission would 'disappear'. It was up one day, and down the next. Never could steadilly gain like ClickXChange (which I love and they allow incentivesi...that word.....sites on certain programs to join).

CJ cancelled my account for "porn and/or boosting traffic". This ******* me off!! I have a family website, no porn, and boosting traffic? I'm a single mum who has taught myself a bit of web design by trial and error. I worked nights and didn't have time to teach myself about that one!!! lol I lost NZ$160 - 3 months internet access ah.gif I was not a happy camper. I contemplated emailing the advertisers and then my guavamail address went down for good and I lost it all!!!!

Arrrgggghhhhhhhh!
Wayne
I used to buy things using my CJ links, always got paid on time for my purchases. It was also good to actually catch them out, well once anyway. They asked me how I knew, and I said, I made the purchase. They couldnt really squirm out of it.

I agree with pervious posts...
I am member of clixgalore over one year. I had over $67 and request them to withdraw it for about 2 month.... there was no answer....
Then they changed my statistic to $0... but AU and GB pounds balance not changed... Now I am waiting for a check or response for my questions... what did they done.
I am still active member... I have 12 refferals... and I don't know what should I think about it....

What would you have people do? Take the law into their own hands? People paid in blood, and died creating this country to pass on to us our legal rights as they have develope as time has past.
If someone owes me money I do not have the right to grab my weapon and go over to them and demand it like they did in history.
The laws changed, now you take action through the courts.

They have (CJ) a fairly good reputation, but heard some complaints. But this is insame, family site and they say that.

Is this to far fetch? That some sites limited their scam treatment to a preselected number of accounts. Seems like you get so many posts supporting both payouts and rip offs on the same company.
