The email sent out today by Dream Star Mail with the subject line "All4Energy" with an email that looks like every other PTR promo has a link that takes you to a Porn Site.

I have written to the WM about this and also advised him/her that I was going to post this in here so that others would not see what I just saw.

dry.gif Thanks for the warning as I don't approve of such things or such sites and I ban all of those kind the porno sites I am so sick of seeing. Was this a pop up or was this a pop in site perhaps? Webmasters have to be real careful of rotators as people sneak who knows what sites in that way. Maybe it was a rotator only guessing here Lil.

No positive - it was pretty much just your standard copy and paste of a program's front page followed by a link with a ref id and then the paid link.

Just remember, that the link may work before the WM actually sends the ad, but then gets redirected. Don't know what happened in this case, but before everyone gets really upset, please remember that. smile.gif

I agree Judy -- I really doubt that the WM had any knowledge of this. If you have to point a finger of blame, I would tend to point to the person who placed the ad - NOT the WM.

(Hope no one misunderstands my reason for posting this -- granted, I've been pretty outspoken about DSM of late, but this is separate from that -- it's one of those situations where I thought some advance warning was in order so that no one would end up seeing something that offended them, or even worse, happened to have young children nearby when they clicked on the link.....I would have posted this warning regardless of the program involved.)

Update: The WM of DSM wrote me and said he had removed that ad and said he hadn't been able to check it first because of where he lives. I'm not quite sure what that means, but at least he took care of it promptly so that's a very good thing.

Thanks for letting us know - I know it's a problem when any redirection can happen after the ad's been posted!
