From March 21 onwards, all payers using credit card funded to make payments will be FREE, while premier & business account holders recieving foreign payments will be charged Standard / Merchant rate + 1% (Cross-border fee).

In other words, you will be charged 3.9%/3.6% + $0.30 for recieving all foreign payments! Local payments will still be charged the Standard / Merchant rate of 2.9%/2.6% + 30%.

I am not happy with this change, I recieve more payments than sending credit card funded payment.
Thus, soon I will have to pay more for recieving foreign payments. :frown:

International Pricing Change

Notice Date: February 28, 2002
Effective Date: March 21, 2002
To comply with credit card association regulations that prohibit a surcharge on cardholders, the fee structure for international transactions must be changed. Beginning 3/21/02, international buyers will no longer be charged a 2.6% fee to send a payment. Instead, a 1% fee will be assessed on Business and Premier account holders when they receive a cross-border payment. The 1% cross-border fee applies to any payment in which the buyer and seller reside in different countries. [The cross-border fee will not currently apply to Canadian sellers receiving payments from U.S. buyers.]

This is a good news for me. I can send money at a smaller cost. I will consider lowering the minimum payout of GetPaidWatch in view of this arrangement.
Rob
Really? What a good idea

Let us know... even $9 instead of $10 is good, but $5 is better lol!

Good news for members too but I hope lower payout does not mean lower amount worth for each paid email.
