Dear Speedy Cash Email Member,
I am happy to announce that most of our membership database was restored.
Frank at Create-A-Click, has worked a miracle and got back what appears to be about 95% of what was lost from a backup on the base server.
I have been busy analyzing the restored data and it appears that it is either 95% of the original, or it is not up to date, which means that it
probably was recorded a few weeks ago, or more than a month ago. I say this because the information does not contain some of the most recent details.
Nevertheless, I am thrilled to get it back, because it is a tough job getting the membership base count up to a healthy count.
Frank did an excellent job in his investigation of the movements of the hacker and analyzing exactly what took place, tracking the IP address of the culprit who did this dirty work in our site and two other sites also. (Cash Box Email and
Dirt Cheap Emails).
He tracked the movements of a person who made an unauthorized entry into our administration area, and the other two, on Jan. 27, 2002, and
placed a deliberate delete command into the system.
He has even Identified who the hacker was and revealed that he is the owner of other paid email sites and that his intention was to destroy our
business as well as others.
The individual is Thane Pullen - the webmaster of Paid Mail INC, Paid Email Plus and Free Hits Portal. He also has an associate, or helper by the name of Paul Coonan, of isaaf.com.
I don't know about anyone else, but I find it hard to believe that there are such devious people out there that they would actually stoop so low as to try to pull off a dirty trick like that.
Sure, competition makes it hard to make a living, but that's life.
I would like a little less competition myself, but I would never go so far as to interfere with someone else's life.
Now that the database has been restored, We can get back to business as usual.
There are still a few bugs to work out, but there were bugs in the system before all this took place. I'll do my best to get other problems worked out, just let me know if you have any. Give me a little time though, because I have been overwhelmed with email.
I thank everyone for your support and patience in giving me the time to get things together.
Sincerely,
Duane Birth
