The members of mec-co-op are paying time and time again for the Webmasters mistakes...we have a target payout to go for...like in most GTPR's, but she moves it about...will we ever hit it I ask myself!
There are No other webmasters that fool about with their programs like you do, I know YOU got yourself in the mire, now your trying to get yourself out...you seem to change some ruling everyday to suit yourself, which is your right to do so as its your program....but there has to come a point when enough is enough and I for one have reached it...You cannot say one thing one day then the next alter it..like I say its your site your site to do as you please..but I'm doing what I think a lot of Members will do...getting out..before the hole you keep digging for yourself gets any deeper...

I think Kittysdoc speaks for most members of mec-co-op.

Several times per week new "advertising specials" are being emailed to the member base. Could this be half the problem? Set a price where you are not losing money and stick with it. Changing them daily is only digging a bigger hole. Anymore if I see an advertising email from Mec, I delete it.
AND.. I clicked enough points to send an ad and she changed it the next day requiring 5000 points to send the ad. Merely hours after I got 5000 points to send an ad, she changes it AGAIN to 10,000.
Carole doens't have as many supporters as she thinks. I, for one, would like to see her and Mec succeed. I like her honesty.. but changing the program daily isn't going to do that. It's only going to make former supporters angry, like myself.
I've been clicking and clicking for points and cash. I'm over payout .. I just want what I'm entitled to.

And on top of that calls us stupid

only a member of coppercoins with quite a big downline which is now worthless
why on eath did carol give all those goldmemberships and free ads for promoting coppercoins :-/

i am now basicly stuck i am not a member of mec-co-op and had just cashed out of coppercoins so my balance is low and if i did get that $1 converted to a new mec-co-op account it will take me forever to cashout with the now $20 minimum and get paid $10

I don't belong to either program, so I don't know anything about the programs or the webmaster. This is just my opinion.

To me the constant changing of TOS is not a good sign. Before a site is even opened, there should be some sort of business plan. You wouldn't open any brick and mortar business without one; you chouldn't open an online business without one as well. Just because it is PTR doesn't mean it is not a business. As an outsider looking in, it would appear that their was no game plan and/or no backup plan. You wouldn't expect your local grocery store/gas station/etc. to open at 5am one day, 7 am the next.....bread is $3 one day, $1 the next.........you get paid $10/hr one day, $5 the next.....well, you get the picture.

Like I said, just my opinion.

1% will run to the forums and again call me a scam etc.
Some people just don't have any brains, and whether they realize it or not all those posts

I've been very upfront with all my members at both sites.
Most webmasters won't tell their members the truth. They fool the advertisers also.
They don't delete inactives like i do, therefore an advertiser pays for certain amount of mails
which go out to inactives, and they get zilch in return as their mails aren't being read.

Unfortunately when i delete inactives, a few idiots will complain that i'm taking their downlines
to save me money.
They just don't understand, they joined this program to make money for reading paid mails.

I also heard on the grapevine of the webmaster calling people dumb and stupid....We are ( in my case..were) her customers...if you treat your customers in that way...you end up with no customers at all...and we all know what that means...it may only be chinese whispers..I dont know...I dont want to go stirring this one up again so I'll leave it here......for now.
I'd just like to add that on the whole I have had no problems in my dealings with her...she has always been corteous to me...but having probably 40 or 50 other GPTR sites to deal with plus my own lil shared webpage with badkitty I have no time for playing games.

well, I for one think everyone should leave Carole alone. She didnt close up shop like everybody else does when they rip us off by closing gptr programs or safelists or any other paying program WITHOUT ANY NOTICE.

I think Carole is changing so much because she is just trying different ideas to make this program work.

So, my advice to everyone is:

instead of complaining, give YOUR ideas to carole on how she can make her gptr program work.

With so many people in the forum and so many webmasters, I'm sure someone can come up with an idea to help Carole through her troubled times right now.

I know that I had problems but we are cleared up now. And she has bent over backwards with new people joining by offering free ads.

So, I have 1 idea for all of you to think about.

Instead of cashing out or worrying "oh i only have 2.00 or whatever" why dont some of you send an email to Carole and ask her "I don't have enough for a 10 point ad or a paid link, but I have 2.39 in my account (or whatever amount) and I would like to know how many ads this buys".

This way, money goes back into her gptr program. When she catches up with her problems, I bet anything that she will make it up to all you guys who did this.

Some webmasters are like that. They seem to have the idea that their way is the BEST way.

First, I'm accruing points for advertising.. why would I want to spend my cash for ads too??? That way, sure the program would prosper, but i'd never reach payout.

Mec-co-op-paidmail is being discussed here. That seems to be the issue. I think if you'll read you'll see the majority of people in this forum, although angry, have nothing bad to say about Carole herself.

last week is dead and gone. Carole and I made up if you read my apology to her and her reply back to me. IN BOTH FOLDERS.

and 1 problem has nothing to do with another.

2 different issues.

For those of you who can't cash out anyways, what's the harm in spending this money for an ad to others to see. Who knows, maybe you'll get referrals for your programs that you advertise with Mec!

The way things are going, you may never be paid. And no, I have nothing bad to say about Carole as a person. As a webmaster is a completely different story.

If mec keeps on like its going there wont be many seeing the ad..
what she needs is to stop the schemes and get back to basics..or else the hole will be an abyss.

I have already suggested getting the money to pay members and closing both sites, taking the knowledge that she has now and starting another site.

probably a wise move for her eln...it'll cost her in the short term...but that knowledge she has gained is priceless..and would basically guarantee the next GPTR site she did would be on par with the best...

but if nobody spends cash for advertising in any program, it goes under, period!

And, when you sent a point ad, i bet many of you got referrals from this ad. so spend 5.00 for an ad. or 1.00, big deal, offer a deal to carole.

before gptr programs, I was in many SURFING programs, with the surfing bars. 99% of them went under, owing us all! Why? Because nobody paid for advertising and they ended up using their own funds for ads.

so maybe make a suggestion to Carole that cash be used for cash emails instead of points and points be used for points.

I see many paid links saying .05 cents when in reality, you are ONLY being paid .005 for this ad that you just read.

Look, the fact of the matter it is not my job to advertise. I read emails, wait for the timer to finish, get my money. Do i care where the advertisers come from NO. Thats not my responsibility, i did not choose to own a paid 2 read site!!!

well awhile back I gave up my $25 signup bonus for a ad which didn't bring any referrals. I suppose because there were so many people doing the same and this was so my payout would then be $10 and now she raised it back up to $20 that chaps my hide. So basically its back to where it was when I joined minus $5. So I gave up the bonus for nothing. This is crazy.
Just had to give my 2 cents.

In this last week I have probably spent $100 online in advertising new GTPR's, Gold memberships etc....In time want something back for my money...not a program that I will possibly never see the money again in..Were all here for one reason...To Make Money!

Neely914.......We must care about the advertisers.......These are the people that buy ads.....If they dont get satisfaction they dont buy them again.

You must belong to more than one PTRE site......Why not advertise on mec-co-op....The member base is one of the most responsive around.

Now.......I rekon points are killing a LOT of ptre programs......Of course people wont buy a cent mailing when they can buy a pint one cheaper and get just as many hits...I say cut them out NOW.

I am getting to a point where I dont even bother clicking on them (for mec-co-op I do tho)...But there is one program that sends out 4 e-mails a day with about 15 point links in it...I hate them....I dont care wether they equal free advertising....If I want to advertise I would rather send out a money link, which Iknow that MORE people will click, as a lot of people are getting to not like point links!

Yes mec-co-op is sending heaps of e-mails...point e-mails which equals ZERO for Carole.......Therefore no money for payments.

Unless points are given a money value, they in my humble opnion are worthless.......If people didn't have the point option they would still buy advertising, because mec-co-op, as I have already said, have a good response and click thru rate.
