(Sorry, that should read "EGoldmails cutting referral levels"
Hmm, isnt this just getting too predictable?
EGoldmails now cutting referral levels
| QUOTE |
I have had to make a major decision regarding referral bonuses. At this stage Egoldmails has 10 levels of referrals at 15% 10% 5% 3% 1% 1% 1% 1% 1% 1%. With just over 150 members having over 600 members in their downlines, Egoldmails is paying out an aweful lot for referral earnings. For example, one member has 732 members, $1.34 in personal earnings, and $21.53 in referral earnings. (in 5 days!!) Like many other sites on the internet, I must decrease these levels and percentages if I wish to keep running this site. I know a lot of you may be upset about this but it's either decrease them or loose them entirely if I'm forced to close down. Closing down is definately not on my mind at the moment. Here are the new levels and bonuses: 6 Levels: 8% 5% 2% 1% 1% 1% Slightly higher than great sites such as: AYS and Aprils Gold These levels will be tested and adjusted to ensure members are receiving the best possible level. If you have any feedback, please contact me. Regards, Keenan Egoldmails |
Then why did he start off with ten levels of referrals?
Thats right, to attract lots of users, then once he's satisfied with the membership he has, he cuts them down. This is getting scandalous. I'm sure Keenan is a member of other sites? Maybe a member of this forum? Surely he knew those levels couldn't sustain the program. Ever since Nilecash and Bettys did this, this is becoming all too common, what next? The site is in debt and needs to be sold? Given to someone else, who will then delete the current debt and everyone will say "Oh itys ok, its not the current WMs fault".

Whether or not people want to acknowledge it or not...the PTR Model is set to fail in every program that launches....period.
Some people might make some money at the beginning and maybe over a period of time but eventually all sites will close for the same reasons - they aren't sustainable.
The ads sold never cover the true cost. This has been re-hashed here time and time again. People that want to advertise in PTR want dirt cheap advertising that gets results. For programs to compete, ad pricing is cut-throat. Any program that would try and price ads to truly cover costs wouldn't sell a single ad. This would just lead to a stagnant program that folks would unsub from.
We all try and make a little money from this "industry" but it needs to viewed more as a hobby than a business the way things are currently run.

Its called the "webmasters fear" what happens is that a program gets so active some webmasters start to look at the top earners in a program. This program is coming on a point real soon where he is going to have to payout $50 x 150 people quickly. Thats $7500 in a matter of a few weeks. Lets not forget the $10.00 signup bonus.
Think they sold $7500 worth of ads?? Uh oh. But when sites put out these huge signup bonuses and huge referral earnings and cant cover the costs of the ads and send out too may of their own ads its asking for truoble.
But members keep flocking to them like flies to honey so when I see term changes and other things from these sites I cant feel sorry for the complainers.

Wise words my friend.
If you recently joined at this program and you are a clicker you always can delete your account because if they change referral earnings today maybe tomorrow will be min payout and next day you can only redeem ADs with your current earnings.
In other hand a promoter with 732 members under him havent in mind delete his account but probably he offers good referral bonus to his refs and he have magically a double headache.
Message to all WMs:
We are tired of "Im sorry I cannot see it. Im new. Is this or close"
