Hello everyone at the GetPaidForum

I wanted to tell everyone rather advice everyone this more than two years ago as i had a bad feeling about it right from the start but now i think is the right time.

Then times were different ...people perceived (maybe rightly so) as a great online payment system secure and backed by ebay. They were all very happy with paypal until recently Paypal has started showing its true color. Freezing accounts and assigning bogus or no reasons.... all sorts of limitations....plus its not being international..... has made me even wary of them......not only that there customer service is such that i wanted to kill myself once i had to contact them regarding some limitation in my account.

Paypal recently has started banning search engine owners accounts as well which is really an eye opener. Claiming them to be pyramid schemes when they are not and shamelessly promoting their own affiliate programs and offering a sort of pyramid scheme....at least it is more like a pyramid scheme rather than search engines.

So heres it......why dont we all boycott paypal and do something else
move onto egold moneybookers stormpay or others
i know it might be a bit difficult for uploading funds but cant we afford a lil fee for keeping our money in our OWN hands? Or maybe we should suggest to egold and others to offer uploading funds through them and at lower fees.

Then again with PTrs and SEs not being accepted as legitimate businesses....
why dont the gurus at getpaidforum start a new payment system solely for PTRs and SEs.....it should be worldwide and easy to spend withderaw and upload.

What do you think about it?
PS: Thanks for reading this much.

I have no problems with Paypal. I have no use for egold - too much hacking. I only belong to one site that will only pay in egold and its only a few pennies a month so its no big deal. The others you mentioned I've heard too many bad things about to trust so I'll stay where I am.

paypal has very strict policy. and they protect buyer's benifit more than seller's. It seems not support GPTR business very much.

boycott paypal? many gptr sites that is there only payment source. there is no other secure online payment system. I have never had a problem with paypal I love it!!! Egold, moneybookers and stormpay are useless as they are constanly being hacked
getpaidto
I'm a PayPal Business Premier (I guess thats the little title they give)... Been a PayPal user since they started or colse to it... Only had one problem, and it was some jerk in the UK using my PayPal card to charge AOL services. They finally got it straightened out (delay was due to AOL not wanting to co-opperate).

Then there is e-gold... Never had my account hacked. Use it regularly. Only thing I can figure that I do different than MOST (read most, not all) people who have been hacked, is I let my Password Software generate a random password for e-gold. Heck, I don't even know my password. lol...

I have a Moneybookers or whatever, and a few of the others, but never had the need to use them.

IMHO, paypal AND e-gold are both pretty decent.

I'm surprised they haven't come down harder on PTR too for similar reasons.

We find that 95% of payments come through Paypal.

They are really the only ones that allow withdrawals quickly and easily for us.

eGold and Stormpay are troublesome when withdrawing as they aren't well supported internationally.

At this time - we're still sticking with Paypal.

Thats interesting...i mean most of the countries in the world arent accepted at paypal but everyone can open an account at egold or stormpay.... well its up to u if you want to get your account frozen.....just take example from search engine owners whose accounts are being blocked and see the complaints and online paymenmts systems thread...maybe you will get a fairer veiw

i agree, so far no touble with paypal, however egold allowed someone to clean out my account... no refund but they put a limit on the thief (big deal)

Stormpay let someone take over my account without notifying me and i had to get another account just to communicate that to them. There is no way to talk to them unless you have an account. (i unsubbed right after i had my words with them)

One of my sites went to stormpay only and i left the site. i would rather lose a few dollars in clicks that a years worth of savings from all my sites. (i can't remember which site it was, but seems like they did a runner not long after i quit anyway)

Paypal did work very closely with me when a hacker attempted to take over my account. They seem more secure and my lesson was to plug my leaks and shore up my own security. Which i did. i was very grateful for the constant support from them throughout the night.

Wow ph34r.gif . Do you scan your computer with anti-virus/anti-spyware software? You shouldn't have had all of your accounts hacked/attempted.

mvanantwerpen

Not only that, but E-gold IS a safe online payment system to use...People who have had their accounts hacked just don't have adequate knowledge of computer/internet safety ph34r.gif

angelbaby
been using them from the start never had a problem with them.
paypal that is
ptre
I've never used PayPal coz they don't allow Pakistani users to sign up.
I used StormPay but suddenly they banned many countries. (Pakistan was included in that)
I use e-gold and i think EGOLD IS THE BEST !!! laugh.gif laugh.gif (I just hope they don't ban Pakistan like Stormpay and paypal did)

I personally have never had a problem with Paypal--I've been a member for 2 1/2 years--however, whenever I get more than a few dollars, I IMMEDIATELY transfer it to my bank account.

Better safe than sorry wink.gif

I've never had any problems with e-gold or moneybookers, either.

As for e-gold, I have a private e-gold # that is NEVER used ANYWHERE--whenever I get more that a dollar or two, I transfer it to my private account.
Invisible Girl
I've used PayPal for almost 2 years now, and haven't had any problems whatsoever. And it makes it so easy for me to deposit and withdraw funds, so I am a very satisfied customer.

All I can say to all the PayPal supporters is I was one of you maybe as little as 3 weeks ago

I had used them from almosty the beginning with NO troubles and thought they were the best thing since sliced bread..lol

I HAD a Premier business account everything was verified etc. But lo and behold they decide to freeze my account and NO I dont not own a PTR that I make payments with I own or co own 4 search engines!

Its not IF PayPal will screw you its a matter of when

You all need to go to http://www.paypalsucks.com

NO its not a paypal hate site its an informative site on how to help people who have had their accounts frozen or have been screwed other ways by PP. Its a place to talk about whats happened to YOU and not feel alone.

Very interesting read the post in the forum from the EX PP Employee
http://www.paypalsucks.com/forums/showthre...529&old_block=0
Everything he said was TRUE because it happened just about like he said to me...so untill it happens to you blindly go with Paypal like I did...but let me tell you I wouldnt wish what I went thru for 3 days faxing and on the phone with PP on my worst enemy!
Diablo
I wouldn't have more than $100 in my paypal to be safe, deposit the remainder above $100 into your bank account and you won't lose TOO much if you suddenly become frozen.
DGE1754
For me it wasnt the point of losing the $$ although that wasn great..lol

To me it was the pure BS they put me thru the constant calling them the idea that considered me dishonest and connected me to domains I hadnt even heard of...did you know you could be connected to another person you made a payment to in the past and IF PP has banned them or has questions about them then you could be frozen. Its a chain reaction. My room mate who of course has the same physical address as I do and phone number got hers frozen too the same days as mine because they thought we were the same person and plus thinking we were connected to these other people domains which they named. My room mate has never used her account for anything remotely PTR she doesnt even do them..lol

Its ridiculous its just a way for them to recoup losses from REAL scammers...especially CC scams. I dont trust them their customer service is USELESS. I had to fax the same documents over and over again....so unless you have dealt with Paypal like I have quite initmately then you would of course think they are great I did too but all I can say is I should have listened before when I knew others had got their accounts frozen

I run honest paying businesses and Paypal has accused me of practices I never did so you tell me who is honest? It sure isnt PayPal
nesearch
Suzanne, that sucks sad.gif

I've never had trouble with Paypal - because I live 10 minutes away from their company headquarters, and if they rip me off, they'll have a madman in their office tongue.gif

I've had my PayPal account for 4 years.. and I've never really had a reason to distrust them until recently.

I used to leave money in my account, but I don't anymore.. I do like you.. I transfer it out immediately.

I Quit PayPal over a year ago after almost being took for $1200.00 they were no help to me in getting my Money back But my Bank was. I cancelled My acct. with PayPal and all others of it's kind . Now I only join Program's That offer Payout by Check / Moneyorder. The way I see it if it's a Real Business they will offer these types of Payment's . If they don't I'm not sure if they are serious about their business . Or if their even old enough to have one...
aleighanne
Knock wood I haven't had any trouble with paypal. However I transfer money out of my account pretty quick to be on the safe side.
SilverFox1
I didn't have but $10.00 in my acct. they transfered it from my bank acct. After I called them about it with NOOO results or Help Or explantion from them my bank reversed the transaction for me . Then Paypal tried to charge my Credit Card.. But I had already Notifyed them about it so that didn't work.
khuldun
still cant get my point thru

why dont we make a new payment system only for the get paid industry?
kaccat
I got your point, as did others, I'm sure. But it sounds more like wishful thinking than something that could actually happen in reality without financial backing and a lot of hard work.

I personally don't see who would be willing to put up the money, first of all, and second, I don't know that you could get many people to trust yet another new system.

But if you'd like to try, more power to you! smile.gif
