In an email to her members the webmistress of Partner's in Email states that she has been dealing a lot of time with cheaters. Due to this fact she is considering taking down the sign up page in a month or so... If she does this she may reimbursed remaining members with the original sign up bonus.

I am considering not accepting new sign ups within the next month or so. The cheating issue has gotten out of hand and seems that once I delete the cheaters they come back the next day. 80% of the time I spend working on the site is hunting for cheaters. It is not fair to the honest members. Here is how the cheaters affect your accounts:
1. They create huge downlines for you and earnings that are not rightfully yours. And when I delete their accounts you loose any earnings that they have earned you being in your downline.
2. They bring down the results of the advertisers. Advertisers pay for sign ups not clicks, by there being cheaters their results are not very good because all they are doing is clicking. Half the time they dont click anything at all and that also brings down the click thru rate. When that happens, advertisers do not come back, and that means less paid emails for everyone.
3. They take up more of my time than anything else. And if my primary focus is on cheaters, it takes away from the quality of the site because I am able to do nothing but delete them.
I also had to take down the sign up bonus because of them. If I do disable the sign up function, and can clean up the database I will then credit all members accounts with the sign up bonus. It is really up to the members if a site sinks or swims. And I am making all efforts to make this a quality site. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please email me at support@partnersinemail.com Maybe you all can come up with a better way to resolve the cheating issue.
Also, if I do not allow new sign ups, I may also consider putting a note that if they do want to sign up to email me and let me know. So like I said, if you have an opinion in all of this please let me know. I am all ears.

Well, hopefully if my members can help come up with a better solution, I may not need that tylenol.
I figured I would let them know about it in advance in case they may have better ideas on dealing with it. It also gives them a chance to voice their opinion in the matter which I always take into consideration before making a decision.

Eln, Eln, Eln.......You got it in one.....No more bagging webmisstresses after saying this: "It is really up to the members if a site sinks or swims"...Words that you yourself typed......and it is very strange you are taking down the sign-up bonus because of cheaters.....When taxlady said the same thing to you....You scoffed at her......Well, hello, maybe it was the truth.........or maybe you are lying, and dont want to have to owe out $2 to very member......Which one is it?
If you think I am picking on you......Maybe......I heard a heckler likes to be heckled....and if you may question, or put your little bit into EVERYONE else's stuff.....You wont mind if I question you!

You can call it a scam all you want.
Here is what you do not know: The sign up bonus was only scheduled to run for one month. The site was launched a couple days before august began. And ended on August 31st. Before Aug. 31, I thought about leaving the sign up bonus and not discontinuing it. But here is what I found members doing:
We will call this member X.
Member X has 5 accounts. We will call them a b c d and e
Member X has referrals and clicks of his own in account A. And for account B C D and E, he is using to redeem for advertising.
As my members do know, I offer you to get a non paid ad with $1 of your sign up bonus, so this means 2 free ads for all members.
So when I got a whole bunch of redemption requests for a non paid ad, I looked at all the ref links to the programs and they all ended in the same email address.
So I went in and checked this guy out, and deleted every account he had. I also sent him an email explaining why I had deleted his account. He replied saying he was sorry and wouldn't do it again and he wanted his first email id to be restored. This was the one with the referrals. I thought maybe I should sleep on it and make a decision in the morning. That is what I did.
Well, wouldn't you know he had 7 new accounts made overnight?
And this is why I have gone with my original idea of leaving the sign up bonus until the end of August. And I didn't change any TOS. The sign up bonus was never mentioned in there at all. The members also knew that it was coming down. No surprise to anyone.
Oh yeah, and moonieb, you can question everything I do. I have nothing to hide and have nothing but honest answers for you. Besides, nothing has been changed yet anyways. It is up to the members to decide. The name of my site says it all.

Have you considered adding anti-cheating routines to your scripts?
It seems silly to manually handle a problem that will never go away and will, most likely, just continue to get worse.
Why not take steps to stop it?

Moonieb, please stop your personal attacks against Eln143!!! Erica is a great webmaster and I think you are blind not to see her overwhelming friendliness. She didn't do anything wrong to you, and you shouldn't be blaming her for what a bunch of scum-bag cheaters do to her wonderful program. You are not a program owner and you have no right to attack Erica (or any other program owner for that matter) as you probably do not have any idea of how much work a PTR involves. If you have a problem with what Eln is doing please PM her about it and don't start criticizing PTR programs in here. The webmasters have support folders and are here to HELP you!!!

Moonie, please stop criticizing Eln. I have been a member of Partners in Email and I have not experienced any problems with it. Erica is a very friendly person. Her program has been plagued with cheaters and to criticize her for that is wrong. It is okay to criticize webmasters sometimes. There are programs and webmasters out there that want nothing more than to steal peoples' money and to make 100% profit. Maybe if you were a member of PIE, then you would see that it is not such a bad program with many 1 cent paid links and a low $10 payout. There are so many programs with .001 and .000000001 cent links. And Erica DID NOT change her ToS!!! She is advising members of WHAT COULD happen in the future if more cheaters continue to enter her program. GetPaidForum is not a place for personal attacks and harsh criticism. We are here to help each other to learn about the good, honest companies and avoid the scamming, untruthful ones. PIE is not an "evil" or "scammy" company and you should give Erica more respect than you've been giving her.

Um, King...my payout is not $10...even better $5!!!! And one of my members just requested payout! I love paying members! I wish I could find a way so everyone could be rich and wouldn't have to do paid to read emails to make money. Anyone have any ideas? Oh yeah everyone, Thanksgiving is coming up!! Make sure you do some shopping for the homeless. They need all the help they can get.

actually-------i have 9 fingers (one of which USED to be my clicker finger, until i got in a fight between a camper and a fence, so now all it does is stick out there getting in the way), and two thumbs-----none of which are willing to dial the phone---i asked and they said they were busy at the puter and id have to wait!!!

Ouch! Something like that happened to me when I was in High School. But not as bad. I was trying to break up a fight between 2 of my friends. They were both girls and as you probably already know, when girls fight they don't stop until someone is either dead or not moving anymore. Well, anyways one of them bit my finger. I was bleeding all day! Didn't need stitches though. Just a nasty wound.
