I don't mind doing searches for a half cent, although I'd rather do 'em for a cent or more .. they ARE a 2-3 step process, as opposed to just clicking and waiting for one page to load. But these GPTR programs that send out searches for 1/10 of a cent .. No Way. I just don't do 'em.
Do you?

Personally, I've stopped doing the 1/10th searches. Even the paid emails with 20 paid links for 1/10th of a cent ... I've had to cut down on. Unless the server that they use is up to speed, then I don't click on them.
It seems that at the moment, my cutoff point is at 0.25 of a cent for me to do something. Anything lower ... I have to seriously start thinking about continuing as a member with that company.

the same here .. and there's another criteria .. the program webmaster .. if he provides great support and is kind to members, then I do good for him .. and do things that help him .. like searches or so ... but if he does not care about us, regular members, then .. sorry, but no response from me to this kind of emails ..

i rarely due searches...the one i do is on penniesbyemail and topcashemail cuz theyre usually at least 1 cent and u only have to click on 1 link. on some u have to click 7 websites to get like $0.0000001 or something like that. inbox mint changed their terms i think to u have to click 3 search results so i dont bother anymore. what i hate is programs that only send search emails such as cosmicwealth. i unsubscribed from them nearly right away.

Also the ones that just send a list of links, you don't know where they are going. if the webmaster is too lazy to say it's a search link I'm too lazy to perform a search after clicking thru.

I don't mind searches as much as I used to (hate to admit that!), but I'm with clare, I don't want to do the ones where you have to click on several links to earn some puny payout--my cutoff is, I won't do the search if they make you click on more than 2 results.

Just to add to my above comment ... if a webmaster throws in the odd 1 cent email with a few 0.1 cent links, then I'll continue doing all the links. I fully understand that the webmaster has to make some profit in his enterprise and in this way I'm willing to help. But if all I'm getting is 0.1 cents per link (or less) ... searches or otherwise ... I can spend my valuable time with more rewarding programs.
And I also understand that new programs just starting out ... may have a bit of "low" reward time until they get up and running ... and I'm fully comfortable sticking with them until they become more stable with their advertising link payments. But if they continue with the "cheap" links ... then the "unsubscribe" button begin to look more and more inviting.

it depends.. if the 1/10th cent links are attached to an email w/ other larger link, such as 2cents+, and the smaller links are just extra "cheap links" i'll click on them.. but if the email contains ONLY cheap links.. i usually pass.

Sigh, I know I send out cheap paying search links, and NOW half of the programs forbid paid links for them at ALL,so all I can do is pay to send members to the site and hope they do a search..grrr... And the reason we pay so little is that so many people DON'T DO THE SEARCHES... I can't WAIT to figure out a way to only send the searches to the people who want them, and only pay the people who DO them..

there are some search programs that pay 0.60 per search, then, the webmaster pays you 0.40 for you to make a search, i think this rate it's fair, the webmaster earn 0.60 and give me 0.40
this means i do the search.
also i gonna see how much programs are paying the webmasters for the searches i'm doing.
i will not search if the link is 0.01
thanks for your thoughts

I feel happy when seeing: 2 cent paid email as the subject of message. When i open the letter, however, I find 20 0.1 cent links. Do we really have time to click 20 links?I feel bad when seeing this, whether they were search links, or something else.
The numbers are not intended to mean any particular CAC, just a general case.
We want webmasters to send us what they can afford to do, no need for 10 cent paid emails, and in the end no getting paid.
We find,in many cases, webmasters flooding us with cheap links and making much much more than this from referrals they get in other CAC`s, or from the searches made.
For this purpose, i have created a new topic with companies i have recently dropped out, in case you want to take a look.

InboxMint doesn't make you do 3 searches anymore, just as many as you want (at least 1)

I'm with ya on this one, buds! I have YET to sign up for a "Get Paid To Do Searches" site. It's get paid to read, and that's what I do. But, I don't click on the searches, then not search, either. I just don't click (most of)them. I've done a very few for Brenda at pj, and I'll do like one every 3-4 weeks at cosmicwealth, just to keep the downline active, but other than that, none.
