In an email to it's members the webmistress of We Paid has said that although people in the same house can have their own account they expect that they only click their links not anyone elses.. and they do not allow portal pages to be used for other people to click instead of the person assigned to the account.

QUOTE
There seems to be some confusion with multiple people in a household
having a WePaid account; each person in the household can have their
own account, BUT they must be the one using that account. If a person is
found earning points or money for another account, all accounts
involved will be canceled. The Terms Of Service has been updated to reflect
this.

The portal is for your own personal use, having it on traffic
exchanges or webpages were other people can click and earn credits for you IS
cheating and will cause your account to be canceled.

Thanks,
Grace

Is she suggesting that WE visit the portal page for 10 points

how do they know which person is actually clicking the mouse button?

Considering, you can only get credit for visiting the portal once an hour for a maximum of at most ten times a day, I would think using a trafic exchange wouldn't give you much benifit.

Besides, visiting the portal page yourself ten times a day can't be THAT hard ac.gif ab.gif

Update to the TOS: You must NOT place your WePaid portal link on traffic exchanges. Any member caught doing so will be warned by email to remove their link, if they do not comply within 48hrs their WePaid account will be closed. - owners Grace & Karen

So, it's not new at all and the explanation I had from webmistress when this news came out was as following : The problem with putting your link on traffic exchanges or webpages is that who makes searches can not be controlled, which resulted in a lost of money to WePaid and you the members.

And about multiple members from the same household being members ... think it's funny some members thought it was all right to read all the mails from all the members of the family and see the same ads over and over again ... not very efficient for the advertisers who pay for different visitors. It's a shame such things have to be clarified by webmasters every time again making them waste time and money.

Only my 2 cents :-)
