Full Version: the new cheat check system
I see a new cheat checking system this morning that I have issues with. I understand the need for cheat link systems but these are not easy for those of us with eye sight issues. If webmasters are going to use this system they need to make them bigger. I ran into this morning and the first one the numbes are so small I had a real hard time with it. I shouldn't have to run out and get a magnifying glass to read them. Also I swear one of them the number was not even in the group to choose from.

Yep, Turning numbers can be a real pain to see. I'm lucky, I have a great graphics card, not all are that blessed.
The numbers were incredibly small, I came very lose to clicking the wrong thing.
I have had some complaints along this line as well as other WMs, I know some are looking into making them easier to read
it's true. the numbers are very small. but, i'm absolutely thrilled to have this option available. if the readability problem is fixed, we won't ever to worry about cheatware again. also, it isn't necessary to verify the turing code often, so it isn't as inconvenient as i originally imagined. security is really looking up! 
Yes I am glad for security but I am sure some cheater is already half way to done making a program to get through the turning numbers too. Cheaters will always be there because of greed.
oh, i'm sure it's being worked on as we speak. but, this will not be an easy one to get around. 
if the site is on a server that has jpeg support in php then the turing numbers are real just like at e-gold and pretty much impossable to cheat because the images will always be differnt. I am incressing the size fo the real numbers on the real turing images now, (the back and white numbers with the lines) and will be generatting a new set up static images in each update for the sites that do not have jpeg support in their webserver
if you are referring to the images that are pictures then those will be gone and if you are referring the the black and white ones i will be no longer using the 2 smaller font size of the 6 it randomly pulls from

when i saw the number wasnt even in the list i just deleted all my emails from that site....i dont have time for that crap!!!

Not everyone has updated yet because of the holiday, personnaly I have disabled mine until they are easier for members to read, which is being worked on now
well i turned mine on for f-b
only the numbers are small. i also almost made a mistake at a couple of programs.
so i'll turn it off when i'm ready to send out emails today.
okay i'm editing to add that I know that John will make them bigger with the next update. or maybe an audio turing # like egold does.

turing #'s are random and I think I remember that the script does it for ptcs and ptr
I didnt get a chance to do any emails for any other programs yet today to test out the ptcs.

I see, I've done quite a few emails from various sites today, yet to see these turing numbers though

I just turned mine off, too.
well even with hard to read numbers its still easy to catch the cheaters. so far from the site i have been wating, must member click it wrong mayby 5 to 20 if they realy have bad eyesite with in a 2 day period on a site thats running the auto surf, and the cheaters clicking it wrong about 200-500 times in a day
one person click it wrong about 100 times in 20 minutes and that was befor i had it counting autosurf clicks, its obvise that no one is that blind and that out of that many trys they would have seen at lease one of the numbers right considering they are on a server that has jpeg support

Yes, I would like to see the numbers in a bigger text. But now I can stop running cheat links, Thanks. I think I am going to do something like this. Miss the touring number 150 time in 6 months then you forfeit your account.
I have had a member miss the number 313 times since inception. I do understand the the numbers are too small but this is most likely a cheater.

Well I've had it twice on each mail from Monkey's so far, 1st on the standard link, then the search link and I've done 3 emails now...
Thank God Cathy, I spend so long trying to work out what it was meant to say I was about ready to quit. On one of them, I could only see the last 2 digits and thankfully only one in the group had the same last digits.
If it goes to audio, I'll be quitting, I have a sound card installed for my own choice of sounds not to hear what others choose to direct at me so I hope that's an either/or option.
I'm all for catching cheaters, if the font size can be increased so that it is legible and still catch those using some kind of automated software, great, but if I have to screw my eyes up AND spend time trying to work it out THEN read the site/do a search for the sake of 1/4 cent, then one honest brit is off.

I read with glasses on...and even with the glasses, those numbers are so small that I can't see them!

I have one that missed a number 846 times.. Imagine...
turning is small plus the blackgrd colour sometime in dark ! ohh no open real big (0)-(0) then i can see them

How the heck can you get it wrong that many times if it's only been functioning a day?
These numbers are very small and diificult to read. The good point is the other numbers are not simular to the others. I dug around until I found the magifying glass I knew we had somewhere.
At least for me I don't have tp squint now. lol Most discount stores sell them and their cheap so if you have any problems think about buying one.

I got it yesterday and today at Totally Duh. The 1 looks more like a 7. Even with my new bifocals I was having a difficult time seeing it.
Haven't seen these yet myself. Hopefully with new puter, and better graphics, it'll be ok. I'm blind as a bat anyway. LOL
But um, PLEASE don't go to sound??!! I keep my sound off, it's too distracting, especially with SOME of these websites that think they're so professional including sound (not).

I think (From my understanding) that if the member gets it wrong, they have to keep trying, and I assume this leads into hundreds of trys. I think

You see a little pic with 4 numbers.
Then you see a set of clickable 4-digit numbers, say, like this:
9476
4723
9104
7620
You have to click the set of clickable numbers that matches the pic.
Its not with every link is it? Is it inserted randomly?

I don't know, but I assume that the cheating software is clicking all the sets of clickable numbers, including the wrong ones.

It just happens with a few links randomly.
I had it a few times today and I didn't have to refresh.
But I have a problem with the turing numbers that are like the ones at E-gold, with stripes before them.
At E-gold I misread them every once in a while!
Are they cheatlinks?

I have already gotten the turning numbers twice this morning from Totally Duh.
What I predict is going to happen is a lot of sites are going to lose honest members. Not from clicking the wrong numbers but from the hassle of having this come up every hour. It just seems that it is getting more and more difficult for us honest members to earn a few cents.

Right now I and many others have it turned off.
Even after I'm satisfied that the bugs (if any) are worked out of it, I may only turn it on at random times.

I can relate with the blind as a bat statement..lol
I am due for cataract surgery as soon as I can afford it
100% with ya on the sound too because I never turn my speakers on I prefer complete silence in my house if I can

Glad to see this thread! I've only run into in one program so far and I quit it as soon as I saw the numbers didn't match. Thought I was going to be deleted for not clicking a number so I quit. Oh well, didn't get many emails from that one anyway. I'm just glad to know this is a new system in place so I don't quit so soon after getting into this paid to read world. 
I am so glad John(CC) is going to fix this as I do not have a problem with my eyes...but had to strain to make out those numbers and then the numbers I saw were not even an option...As if being a PO was not headache enough
