Am I the only one about to go nuts from all these ads talking to me? And while I love the sound of the ocean...what the heck does that have to do with the Foreign Fund?? If I hear the "can-can" one more time, I'm gonna toss my cookies (or my monitor)!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. And some of them are so loud. I usually listen to music and the ads are much louder than the music and drown it out. Does anyone know a way to stop this? I know you can control the individual volumes in the volume control, so that works if you are listening to cds. If you turn down the wave volume it turns down most of the ads. But if I'm listening to MP3s or something it also turns them down. Is there any program that will just silence IE? Thanks! Mike

And yes, I use headphones too (speakers aren't even hooked up), so all is blissfully silent. smile.gif

Now, now, now ......

Off you go back to bed, dear, you know getting all upset is only going to raise your temperature again.

We do want to get better, don't we?

There will be no tossing, please, of cookies (no-one likes crumbs in their bed, dear), nor the monitor - Angi and l are suffering from SIR/ISR or something like that, remember?

So who will help you pick it all up afterwards ? ? ?

You only need to turn your sound off and all these annoyances cease.

Now. Do you know where your volume control is, dear, or would you like me to ask someone to assist you ?

It doesn't make me look at the page. mad.gif actually makes me want to just click off and not get credit...but I wait for my credit usually and then just click off without actually reading it.

Hey hon, I got you one of those wrist thingies for your IRS...uh...SRI...RSI thingy while I was out. It goes on like this: *wraps it around both wrists*

dry.gif I have to agree with you about the sound. It drives me nuts! There are some Japanese ones out lately that are soooo annoying. You know they are about to launch into some terrible song or music when you see those big Astro Boy like eyes. No offence meant to any Japanese or any other talking or music, but it's aggravating. I keep my sound up so that I can hear new emails come in.

My little chocolate burmese loves 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' on Ozloop and comes running from wherever she is in the house!! laugh.gif

i think if you go to your tools menu and then internet options and then advanced you should see a section in there saying multimedia. There you can disable play sounds and video in web pages...maybe that'll take care of it.
Haven't tried myself but webpages with sounds on drive me nuts as well.
