I posted this in a different thread, dealing with the large numbers of websites that are down lately, but I post it here again in the hopes that someone has some information about this program--it seems as though it could be a different problem than the widespread crash one.

Does it mean they didn't pay their bill or something? Or is this just somehow related to the problems affecting MEC-hosted sites?

I just got an email from them, they are no longer a program, if you were a member, they moved your account and earnings to Super Dollar Depot and if you are already member at SDD then you lose your Earn Coins earnings, sounds pretty crappy to me.
See below the email that was sent out.

Some of you may be the first time receiving SDD's email. This is because earncoins.com HAD to be closed due to techinical problem and all active earncoins.com members are transfered to superdollardepot.com. Earncoins's program was damaged and was impossilbe to recover. The hosting company closed its hosting account because the bad scripts always crash down their server.

Former Earncoins members can use your old email username and password to log into SDD account. Your earnings are aslo carried to your new SDD account. Those SDD members who had Earncoins account will lose your Earncoin account and earnings. We apologize for this, but we cannot transfer your account to SDD. Otherwise, you will lose your current SDD account and earnings. This is a techinical difficulty.

We hope everybody enjoy staying with our SDD program.

i was never impressed with earncoins, all they sent were searches, and i never intended to join superdollardepot. i just unsubscribed

so now payout has gone from 20 to 40

with 3.98 earned being transferred over. EarnCoins webmaster is not a good person. Because I know for a fact that I had almost 6.00 there because I had just logged in before it disappeared. Anyways, I deleted my account with SDD because I only join programs 15 or less. I dont have time to wait a year for cashout without any referrals. So what did earncoins webmaster do with all the search money they made? thats exactly my point when click4cents sold us and made a panic and i deleted my account and then he changed his lousy mind. There must be a way for you gptr programs to be held liable just like in the real outside world. At least outside, we can take you to court for earnings. Here on the web, we are lost while you take our money and close up shop. or else pretend theres problems and turn over to someone else, etc. You all hide behind each other and then cover each up by making these little excuses!!

I posted a complaint for this company in June and see no one listen to me. I got out a week in. So I lost like 5 cents. Ha-Ha

If the webmaster of EARNCOINS wanted to credit for the amount earned by the members they could be posted on SUPERDOLLARDEPOT under credits. They just want to keep all the hard earned dollars that the members made. My daughter made close to $5.00 without any referrals. I was so angry when she showed me the email. She also belongs to Superdollardepot and has almost $5.00 there also. It is inexcusable that the webmaster of EARNCOINS and SUPERDOLLARDEPOT treat their members so shamelessly. IT SEEMS THAT THEY DO NOT CARE.

boycott all gptr programs til they all sign a written agreement to pay off everyone before closing or selling? No advertisers or searches for a couple of weeks should open their eyes. we can take them to a gptr grievance panel.

I am happy to report that my daughter received credit for her EarnCoins earnings and it was credited to her SuperDollarDepot account under credit. The webmaster answered promptly and politely. And would like to keep all of her members happy. You too can receive credit for Earncoins on your Superdollardepot account by emailing the webmaster with the specifics.
