Fat scam... to tell you the truth, I filed quite a few complaints about PayBar to FBI. PayBar refused to pay me my $50.96 owned in early November 2000.

I had a friend's uncle who works in FBI to chase after PayBar for my money, I guess that's why PayBar decided to close down.

I heard they sent out the payments already - a few people in the MyECom forums reported they had been paid.

FamilyAffair - maybe they didn't pay you because you are in Singapore?

No payments will be sent to countries not listed as eligible on the PayBar.com 'join' form

zOla: I requested payment in early November 2000 as well as posted in a popular forum regarding it at the same time. PayBar told me in the forum that he promise will pay me, quite a number of people can witness that.

I waited & waited month after month & still no payment, then I e-mail, took quit awhile before he replied & say my profile say paypal as payment method, he only pay UK, Australia & USA by PayPal, so the payment was not proceeded.

So I changed my payment method to Cheque then he said he will make sure my cheque will be sent out in the next rollout.

I waited & waited again but still no cheque so I e-mailed him, then very soon he changed Terms Of Service to exclude countries from recieving payments.

After changing TOS, he finally e-mailed me back about his TOS will not allow him to pay me.

It is the worst company I came across, promised my payment personally, made me wait & wait then scam me.

Goodness. Are they allowed to change the TOS to suit themselves?? I think that's really out of order

It's like saying, I've ran Program X for hours and hours..."Sorry, can't pay you anymore. We've changed our Terms of Service."

Do we have any protection at all? Can we sue if they don't pay? What can we do if they don't pay???

It seems some companies get away with murder these days.
