I just recieved this e-mail. No matter how mad you are, you do not swear and complain this much to all your members. I have just quit from the program:
I have made some changes to EmailEvolution.
First change was to fix something I had already changed. The referral
percentages, they have been changed to 15%,10%,5%,1%,1%,1%. I know you may not
be happy about this, but I had already made previous changes that were very
similar to above so its not a big difference.
2nd change. Payout is now $5.00. Those at the $3.00 Payout will still be made.
I have printed out a payment list of those at $3.00 and above and will pay them.
3rd change. I had already made a very similar change. NO ADMIN EMAILS WILL BE
ANSWERED UNLESS IMPORTANT. Also I do not have the time to be checking the site
support folder. So unless it is very important I won't be answering you back.
I just don't have the time.
Also for that trial I tried for using the site inboxes, it failed. Not only did
it fail but quite a few of you were flat out rude. I'll be honest, I'm
extremely pissed off at how quite a few responded, cussing, etc. One person
said I was introducing slavery to the PTR world. If you feel that way, you know
where the delete button is. I am sick and tired of bending over backwards for
this site and yet all I still hear is bitching. I'm sorry if I offend any of
you but I am truly fed up. This was just a trial, people need to be so freakin
rude. So I've pretty much had it, I will process redemptions and advertising
and take care of real problems, but other than that I'm not bending over
backwards anymore for people. This is one reason why the PTR industry can't
keep good webmasters, the jerks and the cheaters drive them away. 50% of the
reason why the GPTR industry is the way it is is b/c of members. Its not 100%
the webmasters fault. And for those people that got so worked up over this
trial run of the site inboxes, if something like this works you up to this point
I think you need to sit back and reexamine yourself and your life b/c something
like this was not so important to be cussing me out over.
I'm sorry for ranting in here and being pissy, but I am fed up with how many
rude members there are. I'm not one of those who will delete you for speaking
your mind, etc but I don't what quite a few did was right either. And I can see
why some webmasters threaten that b/c they get sick of the crap they get every
day from members.
And I'm about on the verge to just walk away.
Please do not respond to this email any replies to this will be simply deleted
without opening.
Sincerely,
Lisa

Comments like that make us PO's look bad. She should have toned it down, before sending out to everyone.
However, I can fully understand where she's coming from.... I have members who wonder why my paid-to-autosurf stops running while they were in bed?
Hmmmm....let's think about that for a while...

Changing the terms just because it suits you don't seem anything close to bending over backwards. . . I bet she would delete someone in a second for using the same computer as someone else to check there acount without a second thought, what if they where neightbors and the person computer died? But she as a bad day and she can change the TOS.
People need to stop excepting this behavor for PO's there are too many truely good ones out there to put up with that type of attitude.

that does seem totally inapropiate to send to there members, I often wonder why so many webmasters seem everybody is out to get them. they should realize that people in general are going to ask questions so that they can learn and not be lost in what they are doing, when i first started i was very lost and needed help, and i believe that a wm should help out there members if they have a question, even if they feel its a "dumb" question

I recieved that same email and thought it to be rather rude. Why is it everytime I get close to payout with this program, she raises the payout requirements. Didn't it used to be $2.00, not too long ago? Now, I am at 2.90 and she ups it to $5. How long will it take to reach that payout with a program that send mostly 1/10 cent emails?
With an attitude like hers, I would think that most of her members would be on the "verge" of walking away.

there is a thread running for this in the general forum, and many people have posted, most of them in support.
I am proud to be a member of Email Evolution, Lisa apologised to those that the email did NOT refer to.
No, most members are not on the verge of walking away, they realise the email was NOT for them and got on with their lives.
I am happy that Lisa is making small changes that can be changed back at a future date if things get better, christmas apparently is a slim time for ptrs with people having other things to use their money for, I am just glad that Email Evo will be around and not just throw up her hands and close the site and not pay anybody, that seems to be more the trend these days.
Merry Christmas to all, there are lot worse things happening out there, take care.

Raising payout does not help with cashflow problems, it only helps if you have 1000 members requestion payout every month and you need to slow the requests down.

Just to let you know payout was not raised due to cash flow problems. Infact every person from $2.91 and up has been paid. I don't owe anyone over that. I paid those from $2.91 to $3.00 because I know they were really close to cashing out and I felt it was right to pay those that way they don't have to wait longer since they were within 9 cents of cashing out.
I raised payout because people reach it too quickly and I don't have time to process the redemptions. Now I know your going to say then use mass pay. I won't use mass pay because of the fees involved and having a premier account with paypal to be able to accept credit card funded payments already eats up money with fees.
Also I did not make these changes on a whim. I have been thinking of these changes for quite a while.

those cheap links are killing me I will now probally never make cash out
been a member for a month have one referal on each level and only have .40 cents. I think with the cheap links the cash out should no have raised maybe if you would stop selling those link and only sell 1/4 cent then a raise would not hurt so much

Me too, naama.
It seems to me that MOST people who've commented on this agree that even though Lisa is honest or a nice person in general, that email yesterday was extremely inappropriate and should never have been sent. What makes it worse is that thus far, Lisa still can't seem to SEE that even 24+ hours later.
She also keeps using "I don't have time" as her reason for everything. She doesn't have time to answer admin emails OR check the support folder, she doesn't have time to process so many cashouts so that's why minimum payout was raised. Maybe she needs to hire an assistant at EmailEvolution or turn it over to somebody else entirely.

I just can't for the life of me work out why a Program Owner would send out an email discussing, among other things, the fact that some members are sending her rude emails and cussing her -- by sending out a rude email with cussing and other inappropriate language.
Hmmmmm...
Cheers,
