We now know that Great White, Momof3 is a real person...I think we should do a little advertising on her site to get things rolling for her...I was trying to help when she was having the problems with links (but I don't know much about hyperlinking)

I don't think what happened to Great White was realy her fault. I'm sure that by now she is probably sitting with her head in her hands, mumbeling "why in the heck did I even start this adventure....

You all know that "WE" the people do have some power now. We have banded togeather....We can "kill" a program and we can "make" a program. I personaly think we owe it to "ourselves" to jump start this one back into motion....

I'm on a fixed income and have been burned to the tune of around $300 by scams in the GPTR arena...

But right now I an going to Great White and buy an add...I don't know what I will advertise, but I'm sure I'll think of something someday in the future

I need prozac? I have no problem with you. I just don't understand how you can lower advertising rates and also raise their worth to click. It isn't possible mathematically. I am being realistic. And don't accuse me of being on drugs.

Not a good idea to keep sending ads that are 5 cents. Let's say you have 1000 members and you should have about that by now, maybe more...that is $50 right there. And that's not even counting referral earnings.

Eln....I think maybe you should leave the running of other peoples sites up to them, and worry about your own site......

I have hardly seen you say a nice word about anyone and to anyone in this forum.....I am sure you have lots of nice things to say....please say them.....If you always look for the tarnished side you shall find it....I, on the other hand always try and look for the shiny side, but am not stupid....MOMof3 deserves a chance and she is very new to this....She will get this all sorted out soon......I know heaps of webmasters/misstresses who send out 5 cent links of there own......Also if you looked at mec-co-op at the moment her add prices are very low...and you can send a 5 cent link out very cheap...it does not make her a scammer...it is called keeping the members interested...and clicking...that is what makes a company..CLICKERS.......

Please try to be a bit more positive to things, and consider other peoples feelings, just as you would want your considered.

One question, do you even know what my program is? I don't send point emails. You must have me confused with someone else. I am not bashing momof3. I am trying to help her to see that if she keeps doing what she is doing, then she will eventually end up like most sites do. And I am not having trouble finding advertisers. I am not sending out any links until the sign up bonus problem is fixed. I am only trying to help her and she takes it as insults. I had the same type of criticism when I started my site. I took others advice and the site is running fine now.

momof3 is a real person because I know her personally. The things that eln143 has been posting is not true whatsoever. I think this person needs to get a life and stop harassing people on boards and via email. momof3 is not out to try and scam anyone and I know this for a fact. It's none of eln143's business why she is doing this. She put out alot of time and funds to get this email going. No one asked you to join so if you don't like the way things are then just unsubscribe momof3 just keep going. Your doing a GREAT job and have my support. Don't let this bad seed get you down

Everything that I post is true. I have all the emails that were sent. I don't lie. I am a webmaster. We help each other. I was only trying to help her. And what she was doing sound like a scam. I have seen many other programs do this and end up scams. So don't just sign up here to post something like you just did. And I am not a bad seed. And of course momof3 is a real person. All webmasters are real people!

I actually told her about the posts in this forum because she said no one had complained so far in reguards to her changes. They were upset. As a webmaster it IS her business to know whether her members are happy or not. I also encourage her to get a support folder here. I wasn't trying to "rub her nose in it". Until you are a webmaster and know what goes on, please do not comment on the issue. It may also be of help to her to join the yahoo group led by Chris Houlihan for webmasters only and to also inquire with lgwong about gaining access to the program owners private folder here if she hasn't already done so. Oh yeah, I am going no where. Get used to having me around.

Three things you should look into, now that you are a webmaster. I have also included who you would need to contact. They are all members of the forum and you can PM them any time. All are very helpful and also contribute to the success of your site:

1. Get a support folder here (lgwong)
2. Get access to program owners private folder here (lgwong)
3. Become a member of the yahoo group for program owners (Chris Houlihan)

Contrary to popular belief, I have been trying to help you. Hope this helps some more.

Ok, the last post was kinda vague. I'll explain.

Support Folder...If you have a support folder here, members are more likely to take up an issue with you there before they go to complaints. I have noticed that 80-90% of the sites listed in the complaints folder do not have a support folder here. When someone posts in your support folder, a notice will go to your email address that you used to sign up here to let you know.

Program Owners Private Folder...You need permission from lgwong to have access to this folder. It has been one of the most helpful places for me. It is a folder for webmasters/webmistresses to discuss issues with their sites. Here we can disclose information about cheaters or anything else that we feel is important enough for others to know about.

Yahoo Group For Program Owners...This group is led by Chris Houlihan. It is like an email chatty just for webmasters. Kinda like the private folder, but it is through your email address. Here you can do just like you do in the private folder, but don't have to be on the site. Some of the webmasters have a tendancy to go back and forth arguing every once and a while, but most of the emails sent through this is very helpful.

You should also become more active in the forum. It helps you get to know your members. And they can get to know you also. This way they feel as though they know you and you won't be such a stranger.

This goes for all program owners, not just momof3 (for anyone who feels that I am getting on her about things.)

My two cents.

I like Chris H., but I can't keep up with the yahoo thing, it's too dragged out. Very cumbersome.

Also, while members do post in support folders here, they still use the support emails just fine. In fact, most of the complainers don't bother addressing problems with the webmaster, or don't give them more than 6 hours to respond because they are so used to instant gratification that they post complaints.

And others egg them on.

I used to get involved in a lot of the heated debates and take them all personal-like... what a waste of my energy.

I have found chatting with other webmasters via IM to be the singlemost helpful thing I have done. I have made some good friends. I have an Uppity Wimmins Webring on my site to bring more of us female program owners together in a more supportive fashion. I am not excluding men because of any male/female thing, it is just that for once in my life most of my friends (online, that is) are women and I thought it'd be nice to formalize that. Any female website/business involved with 'get paid to' (even remotely) is welcome to apply.

Also, while I am at it, sending out a 5 cent link from the webmaster isn't going to break the bank, hate to tell ya...
