My first change was to discontinue the points purchase of the GOLD and SILVER memberships as I prefer that to be a cash purchase. The second change is a little more complicated, so again, bare with me and read all of the plan. It involves the resetting of the cash earnings to zero for all the members on September 22, 2002. Now before everyone gets too upset with that, let me explain further. Between now and then, the membership will have the oppurtunity to spend their cash earnings on advertising and/or Gold or Silver memberships. That will be 2 weeks time to decide what to do with your cash earnings, preferably a shorter time. If you do not have enough earnings to cover the costs, you may also combine it with Paypal payments for the difference. This of course will need to be coordinated. As of 12 AM EST, September 22, I will no longer allow the cash earnings to be used and will perform the reset. That process may take a few days since I haven't as of yet looked into how I ca
n do that, and since it may require doing it member by member, you can see where it would take a few days to complete since the membership is well over 7000.

tell me again why people would wanna click the links from the redemptions if the cash they would make there will just be reset anyways?

I am sure these changes are not making the membership happy, but since I am the owner now, I am willing to only make cash-outs for earnings produced under my ownership. I will try to send as many emails out as possible with paid links, may they be point ads or cash. I am also joining as an affiliate multiple pay per click search engines which will provide paid links in emails using the dreaded "search" links. I will also be providing multiple weekly Ebay auctions with specials such as combinations of ads and memberships. The links on the main page have been reset also, there are currently 3 $15 and 3 $5 links, which are to be paid monthly. These are to be filled on a 1st come 1st serve basis, so if you want your text link added please email webmaster@click4cents.com and we will get your advertising started as soon as possible.

One added thing. When I sent out the mail yesterday to the membership
and said I would not allow cash-outs of their earnings except for
advertising and/or an upgrade to their membership, I did not mean that I
would be resetting the point portion of your earnings. When I perform the
reset, I may also set the amount back to $3.00. I would say that is a
much fairer deal hopefully. Again, please bare with me, as you can see by
your mails received I have sent out many paid mails already and there
will literally be 100's more prior to the reset providing lots of
advertising for your online adventures.

Kglaser I filled out GPTBoycott's complaint form earlier today. The Click4Cents webmaster has already been sent an email from them.

Wow!! I think that's the fastest recorded case of a boycotting occurring after the complaints were lodged! This is exactly the sort of response that needs to happen so that programs like this which try to take advantage of their members realize they can't get away with it!

I have decided to make changes after much input from the membership.

First, there was never a plan to reset the points earnings. Except for redemptions and reading of new paid links that figure will not change.

For those who currently carry a Gold or Silver membership status, that also will remain unchanged, which also I had no plans on altering. Also, everyone's downline will not be affected except for members unsubscribing.

Next, I have changed what I will reset the earnings level to an amount of $3. That will be everyone. The current of use of earnings for redemptions should continue if you want to get anything from them.

Now to discuss what I will be doing with redemptions. All point redemptions will be processed as I get to them. Please remember I have 100's and 100's to process so this will take some time. If cash redemptions deal with banners or membership upgrades I will also process them as I receive them. I will make adjustments to the member's accounts as I process each redemption, meaning debit the earnings. The change with the cash redemptions which will generate cash ads will be saved until after the reset so that the membership will retain the earnings. This will include any cash paid mail sent yesterday. I think that this will make the members happier then totally losing their earnings altogether because there will be many many cash paid mails sent out.

As I process each redemption I am sending out a request for the details of the ad or banner or link. After receiving the details I will reply with a mail stating that I received and have adjusted their account. Those that are paid cash mails will all be saved for sending after the reset. After the reset, those redemptions will be sent out as soon as I process them. Saving the 100's of cash redemptions that will produce cash earnings will also give me the chance to send multiple per mail at that time. What that means is instead of 100's of individual one link paid mails I will try to produce 5 or more per mail, less work for each member and also less mail sent by me and received by the membership.

I hope these changes and listing of what will not be affected will be more to the liking of everyone. I know that it still won't please everyone but I knew I could never do that by performing the reset. Again, thanks to the membership for expressing their feelings and you may always continue to do so. I hope to answer as many as possible individually. If multiple mails cover the same subject I will probably cover that in a mail to the full membership. Sorry for the long-winded mail again but I prefer to be as detailed as possible rather then leave the membership scratching their heads. As you see I am agreeable to make changes, not that I can perform every change that is requested. I am sure there will be more in the future, none of which will be taking anything away from the members unless major errors occur in processing.

I have found where the server has sent mail when I thought it had dropped or lost it. The server acts as if I have read the mail and sent it to a different "bucket". Anyways, it did it to me again but nothing that I know of has been lost.
