I got this today (Please see below) and I am really annoyed and upset by it, I won`t write what I really think.
Can somebody get you accused like this on purpose? I have NOT been to their sign up page since I signed up, I have no need to go there again.
Anyone else been falsely accused like this??
Hi,
Someone has contacted us regarding spam. It appears that you have entered someone elses email address onto stage one of our sign-up page without their permission. Paradise Hits does not tolerate this.
If we get anymore complaints regarding your account, we will have to close your account. We will not be taking action at this stage, however we will not have a choice in any future incident.
Thanks
Paradise Hits

Just keep calm. Probably someone was lead to the paradise hit sign up page with your referral link. However, that guy sign up with a email that is not belongs to him. The paradise hit owner recieve a spam complaint, and try to direct it against you. But actually you have no responsibility on this issue and it is the poster (the recorded ip address) that is repsonsible for the spam.
Probably the owner of paradise hit is a newbie webmaster so he has not dealt with these things before. I think you should email him back and give him a lecture.

The owner of paradise hit is not a newbie webmaster.
He owns dollarbyemails and 1000 levels,..etc...
So I thought it is strange he didn't check the signup ip address.

I did send an email to say this simply is not true, I`ve had no reply yet.
It is not nice to be accused in the 1st place, but what if it happened again,
He says he`ll just delete my a/c, I not worried about losing earnings and referrals, it is the fact that you are assumed guilty and that`s it!!

Wayne Tickner owns Paradise Hits
But you have to think about it as if it were you in your program.....
A guy gets signed up for a program he didn't want to join....He emails YOU a nasty letter saying he'll report you to your host if you don't do something about it. So you go to the guys account and look at his referrer. So you assume his referrer is responsible so you email a letter like that. I though the letter was very proffessional and justified for the situation and I probably would have done the same.

I`ve had a couple of emails from Wayne tonight, he says he also had a complaint against another webmaster, and seeing that he knew he was a webmaster, he dismissed the spam complaint.
Chris I do agree the letter was OK for the situation, how was Wayne to know otherwise, I was just upset when I first read it. I`ll be better prepared if it happens again. This is the 1st time I have received an email of this sort, I realise from what Wayne says, it may not be the last.
Anyway, Wayne seems like a really nice guy and this must be annoying and frustrating for him too!! He seemed a bit down about it all, Who wouldn`t be.

Heck, I had that ###### from Zaraditenovac (and for ME to call someone else an ###### reflects my extreme disrespect, 'cause I know MY limitations perfectly well) accusing me of spam.
Somehow he had gotten signed up with PJ and wanted me to remove him and he got my autoresponder and proceeded to argue with it and threaten to call the FBI etc. because I wouldn't give him the IP address he was listed under. Well, I don't give out IP's unless I am pretty sure someone is a cheater, then it is only to pass the word along. But like I have mentioned elsewhere, IP addresses can be different per email addy, and are NOT unique to each user. So anyhow, this guy totally harassed me for a while until I published his idiotic threats.. and told him I viewed his emails as harassment.
Not very nice of me, but he was a complete jerk.
Anyhow, I bet Wayne takes care of it the right way. He knows what he's doing. Or at least, appears to, which from MY level of inexpertise is pretty admirable, lol!

The other webmaster accused of spam was me. Since I didn't promote the link any other place that in program...
I'm still waiting for the joker's addresses...

Hey Guys,
I owe you an apology over that email I sent. Occasionally on my other sites, i'd get complaints from people who just stirred trouble. Over the past few days I have had quite a few spam complaints, 2 in which you already know are webmasters.
As soon as I found out that you guys were webmasters, I then figured that it was just someone trying to stir up trouble. Webmasters dont really need to spam in order to get referrals, I know that much.
Had I known this from the start, i'd have dismissed those emails. You all saw what happened to 5dollaremails, when someone was spamming their referral links, the host shut them down. My policy is to always send a warning, then listen to an explanation if one is offered. I wouldnt shut someones account without at least getting an explanation, its just not professional, or in my best interests publicity wise. Usually if there are more than 1 complaint, then that does indicate spamming.
I'm trying to make everyone aware that I have zero tolerance for spam. Thats why I make the warnings sound harsh, and seeing that you didnt do it, you had a right to be upset. I remember when paidforsurf.com said I cheated when I did not.
Also before deleting an account, I always make sure I back it up, just incase it needs restoring. I'm not trigger happy with the delete key.
So, again I apologize, and hope you 2 can be bribed with gold membership, without charge. Its the least I can do, and again I apologize.

You are lucky you are getting any refferals, Electro. I have no refferals at all in any of the ones that I have joined.

Hi `Poncer`,
I know what it`s like, before Electro I had joined over 150 GPTR programs, 80% with no referrals, the only referrals I got were from The Downline Construction Site, this cost me money for advertising.
Now I have a few referrals for most programs, but it still costs me money to advertise to all members, I have many members with around $15 - $25 earnings, some with more!! thats just the one`s I know about!!
So it costs a lot of money in the end - it takes a long time to earn this back from referrals!!
I have lot`s of referrals in a couple of programs, but they have never sent an email! it could have cost me up to $20 for promoting this, but I`ll never see any return.
In the past I have used other programs to send paid emails to promote sites I`m in, You can get just as many referrals this way.
Why not give it a try! or join a downline club.
Warm Regards
Anne

Hi Wayne,
If the gold membership offer was for me - I hope you don`t mind, but I`d like to donate this to Forum member `Poncer`
I have a few referrals with Paradise Hits, as he has NO referrals for his programs, maybe he can use points for advertising to gain referrals for all his other programs.
Hope this is OK with you, I assume David is a member of Paradise Hits, if not we can ask if he would like to join!!

Hi Anne,
The offer was made specifically for the 2 webmasters that had been accused of spam. Usually I wouldnt transfer it to someone else, but it sounds like poncer needs a break, so sure, if he emails me at waynetickner@hotmail.com, i'll process it ASAP.
Also whilst i'm here, you guys might like to know this. I had another spam complaint yesterday, where someone replied, with SPAM as the subject, per the instructions if you have actually been spammed. Well I looked up the signup IP, and I looked up his email header IP, guess what? a match! so I wrote to him requesting that he send no more spam complaints about anyone, and I told him I had notified his upline regarding his false spam complaint.
So I sent one joker packing, its just too little too late.

Also, just so you know, if I ever say I am going to do something, and then I never do it, or forget, its because I easily get sidetracked. Dont feel bad for reminding me if I forget something.

After my post I realised I put you `on the spot` there, I hope you didn`t really mind. It was a guesture to show Webmasters are not just out to get all the referrals they can!! I`m not greedy and I felt a bit sorry for `poncer`.
I`m glad you managed to sort out the SPAM complaints problem!

Hey
Anne, you didnt put me on the spot, you just had someone else in mind that would make better use of the membership, so theres nothing wrong with that, a gold membership is a gold membership, it doesnt make any difference whos name is on it. It makes a change to see a webmaster thinking about others. When I say I normally wouldnt do it, that my way of saying, "Hey i'm doing you a special favor". Sometimes things I say are taken out of context, some people just cant plain understand me at all. Ask Sophie from the PH forum, she can vouch for that.
Poncer, if you contact me, so that I can get your username, I can set the gold membership up. I have no way of looking up your file, since I dont have any details. Its no trouble, let me know as soon as you can and i'll take care of it.
When it comes to Spam complaints, I am not sure there is any right way to handle the situation. I was once accused from PaidForSurf, of cheating. When I confronted them, and asked for any information that they had on me, under the Data Protection Act, they got pretty shirty with me. Not sure if DPA applies in USA, but it was worth a try. So whenever there is a spam complaint, 1 warning, and if theres maybe 2 complaints, then thats bad. I recently up'd that limit to 3, since even some of the webmasters even had 2 on their name. It puts me in a very awkward situation, and I absolutely dread the spam replies. Wondering if they're absolutely raging, or upset, or whatever.
Sorry it took me as long to respond.
