I'm new to the PTR programs, so I have a dumb question. What is the difference between a gold member bonus referral and a downline member? Do you earn $ for gold member referral, or just in your downline?

A gold member bonus referral is a extra referral to your downline for buying a gold membership. There is no diffrence from gold referrals and those you get yourself.

that is correct.

you don't earn $ for gold member referral,
they're the members who join with no upline.
(meaning, no one refer them to the program)

so when you buy upgraded memberships,
you'll get those members in your downline as a bonus.
