Wonder if you can't send the searches separately and not send it to the ones who don't have the "search" preferences box checked. Betty Bucks and Mec-co-op do it, I never receive search e-mails from them. The problem is that my country is not accepted and I keep getting these e-mails full of searches all the time, I have to read them very carefully so I won't click on any, but still I have clicked on a few already. It's easy when it says "looking for something?" or "need to find something?", but sometimes I get a "have you checked blah blah lately?" then I go and it's a search link. Funny. Also I just received a bunch of resends, I go and click and guess what the first link was... There are also some mistery links, you have no idea, so unless it says "mistery search link", you don't have ways to know. I'm trying to do my part here, but I don't want it to be difficult or in some cases, impossible. huh.gif

at sanitariummail we try and mark all our searches..

the reason we can't use the "you checked the search box" is if members pay for an ad to the whole memberbase we have to send it to the whole memberbase..

if they pay for a "Targeted to members with search checked" then we send it to those members

I would hope that if a search is clearly marked and someone didn't want to search that they would skip that mail

but I do understand your frustration at "mystery links"

Well, if I buy a contest link or a mistery link and want to send a search ... if you can't search ..you can't search lol, I paid for the ad, you can just click and run, it's the same for regular ads, we don't join sites or buy products from every single ad we see ...

On the other hand, if you can search ... am always happy if you do so but again, there is no obligation whatsoever smile.gif

That is the risk I take but if results are good, I'll come back, buy more and you'll earn more ... is a win/win thing I think wink.gif

Yeah, the problem is that we're always receiving warnings that say that if we are not from one of the countries listed and click on the link we can be deleted.

Yes that is annoying I understand .... I guess webmaster mean only their own searches added as a little extra in addition to other paidlink, if I buy an ad to all, I know what I am doing and if webmasters don't allow all to click on it, it makes no sense to me ...

Not all webmasters delete people for clicking on hidden searches if you're not from an allowed country and even, some of my search engines allow everyone, so you as a member are not supposed to know all the rules from every search engine, are you ?

Generally the rule that you would be deleted if you click on a search when you're not from one of the allowed countries only apply to webmasters searches, not to bought ads to everyone, .... I think.

But I suppose it must be a bit scary .... sad.gif

I remember how much I despised searches when I first started PTR. I used to curse and carry on when I got them. After a while, however, they kinda grew on me cool.gif LOL
