CompDough have announced that if you're not a member from either USA, UK, Canada, Netherlands or Australia, you will not get paid!
If you are a member currently residing in a country not listed, you have just 72 hours to redeem your earnings for
advertising only (and that's only if you have enough earnings to redeem).
QUOTE
PLEASE BE ADVISED OUR TERMS OF SERVICE HAS BEEN UPDATED >>>
If you are from any country other than the UNTIED STATES, CANADA, UNITED KINGDOM, NETHERLANDS, & AUSTRALIA. you can not participate in our program and you will not be paid.
We have made the necessary changes in our Terms of Service to clarify what countries may participate in our program instead of what countries and regions can not. This will eliminate any question of who qualifies for our program. Illegal signups will be deleted starting in 72 hours or when these accounts have been found.
We would like to support all countries, but that just creates too much fraud and too many multiple accounts. Understanding the English language and our instructions are vital to our operations.
If you signed up for our program and are not on the list of countries we currenly support, we are giving you 72 hours to claim redemption's for advertising only and only if you have enough earrings. Otherwise your account will be deleted after 72 hour of this mailing or when these accounts have been found.

That's unfair to alot of members. I'm in the U.S., but I
will probably lose referrals because of it. It's an older
CAC site, so earnings gained from referrals will
probably be lost if their accounts are deleted.

I just redeemed my earnings for visitors as I was told thats the only thing to do with it and now get an email saying they have added NZ to their support list (we get to keep our accounts!). To find out which countries are eligible check their signup page.
I just hope its not to late to cancel my redemption for ads

quick email service though!

LOL! That's quite funny.
United States shall be renamed the UNTIED STATES! Never again will the untied states be tied with anything else.
Also I'm afraid I don't have any of those dangly earring things, will I still be able to redeem for advertising?

They are not really allowing us to use earnings for advertising..
As soon as I hit the redemption button to use my earnings(about $8) for advertising, they removed about 100 of my referrals (who are from any countries other than the UNTIED STATES, CANADA, UNITED KINGDOM, NETHERLANDS,etc)
So I went down to $-9.04. & they said i don't have enough earnings to use for advertings & they have overpaid me $9.04

I cancelled my membership - if they will do this, they
would probably raise the minimum payment amount
or reduce the referral levels too. Also, the user
numbers are too long.

I understand deleting cheating members and even maybe not allowing certain countries to join (as that seems to be the norm for most of these now a day's) but to delete active honest members simply because they live in a certain country? I think that's really mean.

In the beginning CompDough accepted all countries in our program. However, our Terms of Service listed many countries and regions there in, that we stated were allowed to participate, but would not be paid. These terms were made very clear to those who took the time to read it. All members must agree to Terms of Service when joining our program whether they read it or not.
Later in our program, we discovered thousands of multiple signups, cheaters, and so many other problems that occurred from many of the countries we had restrictions on. At this time we changed our Terms of Service to let non paid members know that their countries and regions were no longer accepted in our program. People from these countries continued to signup anyway with out reading our Terms of Service or messages posted on our signup page.
We recently changed our Terms of Service to clarify what countries could participate in our program instead of what countries and regions could not. We also removed all countries from our signup page and now only list the countries we accept. We may add a few more countries to our list, but not the one's we had restrictions on from the beginning.
The clarification of our Terms of Service will only effect a small part of our membership that failed to read our Terms of Service. Naturally, those members will complain and be upset reading about it now. CompDough is not without a heart or does not try to be unfair to anyone. For those that never read our Terms of Service and have discovered they are going to lose their account, we made a provision for them to cash out with advertising if they have at least $5 in their account. This action is above and beyond our Terms of Service.
This is the only reply I will be able to give in this matter and will not be able to monitor this forum. I hope this information clarifies this situation and closes this thread.

You have never overpaid me.
I went down to -$9.04 because you deducted the earnings I had earned from my referrals for the past two years when you were accepting almost all countries.
That earnings was legally earned in the past.

Well, it probably also states in the TOS, like most programs do, that they can modify their terms at any time and if it is not acceptable to you, then your only course of action is to terminate your account. So, just delete your account and sign up for another program. If you're complaining over $9 for 2 years then it is completely not worth it.

eln143,why do you want all of us to shut up & be quiet when these sites change terms & tell us they can't pay us
Like cashmania said,we spent time supporting & promoting the site.
Like you said they can modify their terms at any time
but do you think we can't even complain when a site change terms and tell you that you will not be paid after you spent much time clicking banners and promoting the site?

I don't need to cancel my account because it will be gone within 3 days.
I think it is gone already.

Maybe to prevent this from happening again, you should read the terms and understand what they mean. Every paid site that there is could shut down tomorrow and owe you nothing! Do you realize this? It is a chance you take. And I think that if everyone actually sat down and thought about it, half wouldn't even bother with the sites.

I read the terms and understand what they mean.
If Partners In Email will change the terms to this effect & say some of us will not be paid after they have spent much time supproting your site,do you think your members will be not complain ?
You have the right to change your terms at any time & we know it ,but we can complain about it.
We know we will not be paid, but if you have the right to change your terms,we have the right to complain.
I am not so unhappy with this terms, but when I tell my experience, why do you tell me to be quiet?

When new reporters post news in this section, many of the replies to these news are compliment, complaints.
If they are not irrelevant to the topic, this folder is the appropriate folder.
I don't think I have to go to the complaints folder or the Praises and Applause folder to voice my opinion about the news.
There is no rule that we should not reply to news
If we really think no one should reply to these news, topic in the news folder should be locked like you said.
I don't like it,though

we'll you should make that suggestion to the getpaidforum issues folder as a suggestion so lgwong can look at it and see if that would be better. I guess the reason they allow responses to news is so the members can voice their opinion on the news...

So, in other words, eln thinks it's fine for any site to be
a "scam" because it's allowed in their Terms & Conditions?
eln143
Sep 2 2002, 01:00 PM
Ok, all of these sites legally can be scams. Some aren't, although most are. It's a fact. And I really don't see the point of everyone complaining, when they already know what can happen. I am not saying it is fine for any site to be a scam. That's just the way it is, and unlike most people here, I have already come to terms with this.
