I have a question about banner HTML.Alot of them have a line in them that says "Your website address",or something similar.I have tried replacing that with the address of my website.Wanted to make sure that worked,so I tried placing a banner on my site using that replacement, but I get the white box with the little red X in it.Just want to know what I need to type in there, when I am sending banner HTML for a redemption.

Well I don?t know any HTML, so when I redeem for banner advertising, I just type the banner url and the destination url, and so far webmasters have edited the information the way that?s needed. You have to make sure your host allows you to hotlink images (I?ve understood that this is the case with banners...). Most of the free hosts don?t allow hotlinking, so if that?s the case, you need to find a place where you can host your banners.

hi there.
i'm not sure if i'm actually getting what you're saying aj.gif

what you need to type to place a banner on your site is:

QUOTE

or
QUOTE

so eventually HTML should look like this:

QUOTE

(no space in between)

btw, did i get your question?

jkjo, yes you did get my question.thanks for the help.

mirigga:that explains alot,because I am using a free host.thanks for the help.

Maybe eventually I'll get all this stuff figured out.But I'm pretty sure that I know what I need to do now.

Hi,

Your question is a bit confusing to me, but for what I understood, this is what I do:

First, I right-click on the banner of the GPT site, and download it to my harddisk.
Then, I upload it to my website as an image.
Finally, I right-click on the banner which is on my website now, I click 'properties' and then I can see the url of the banner.
It's this url that I use to send to the webmaster for my advertising:

I write for example:

banner:
http://www.cashsite.nl/inc/img/homepages/u...snslkpbqygs.gif
(which is on my website)
URL:
http://www.cashroyal.com/anneke (no, this is not an existing ref link)
(which is my referral link for this site)

I hope this helps. smile.gif

LOL, I had to edit out the url link, I made something with xxxxxx, and it turned out to be an adult site.

i think anneonline reply is already answered the question here
just wanna add some here

the white box you get, means that the file / picture / banner
cannot be found. all you have to do is .... just like anneonline do
save the picture to your pc first, upload it to your website
and change the link of the banner
