Despite sending a letter to the webmaster of Mec-co-op a week ago, in which I addressed my concerns that I was not getting any updates on the website's changes,as described in the LAST e-mail I received as a member (pasted below), I received no comments regarding Mec nor my status therein.

Tonight, I found out that other members have been receiving e-mails which explains , for me, the reason I found members advertising for referrals both in paid e-mails and on safelists AND knowing about the new points systems of which I had no knowledge.

I tried to log in many times and could not, over the past weeks; assumed it had to do with the changes regarding the website. Then I wrote to the webmaster regarding Mec's status; "thank you for your input" was the response.

Upon further investigation, tonight, I find I am no longer a member as the website does no longer recognizes my email address. I had been unknowingly unsubcribed, all the while waiting for "new and exciting changes" to take effect.

As an original member, excluding the sign-up bonus which became a redemption, I stand to lose 7 or 8 dollars from this affair.

What really burns to the core is this is the first time I've been had. I can only resort to mass mailings on the many safelists to report this issue as well as the scam sites.

I do not like to post private issues on the forum but there is no choice as I have not been given a direct answer when I asked for one.

I will wait several days in the event this was a misunderstanding afterwhich I will dedicate one hour each night, to utilizing any resources available to me, to expressing this violation of trust.

Inevitably, one way or another, this trust has greatly diminished and although my coppercoins account was not deleted, I cannot assume it is and will stay secure.

Thank you for your "support".

Regards,

Bill

I wanted to keep all of you updated on the data-base conversion.

It's going to be better than i ever anticipated.

We have to take it one step at a time, and the very last step will be to convert the userdata over.

Right now, while it's not running yet, we will now be able to sell ads for clicks instead of amount of members.

Since it will cost me 1cent a click I will start selling the ad's at cost.

1cent a click

That means I will send your ad to ALL members, but let's say you order 5000 clicks for $50

The links will expire once you reach the 5000 clicks.

They will be timed ads also, so you will get quality visits.

That feature should encourage more paid advertisers which means more money in your pockets for clicking the links.

We will also be able to offer you banners for clicks, so instead of paying for 50,000 impressions, you will pay also 1cent a click.

Your ad's can go either way.
SEnd 1cent ad to all for $25 clicks not guaranteed
Send 1cent a click ad for however many clicks you want.
1000 clicks = $10
2000 clicks = $20
etc. etc.

Same with banners
you can purchase 50,000 impressions for $14.95
or for $14.95 you can get 1495 clicks.

Just using above #'s as examples. You can order as many or few clicks as you want once this conversion is completed.

I'm very excited to be able to offer those features to our advertisers.
It will increase the revenue and also probably increase the # of paid mails you will receive and allow Active clickers to achieve payouts much faster.

I will keep you informed as we continue developing the conversion.

Look before you leap, your foot may end up in your larynx. There are a few explanations for what happened to you, none of which include a purposeful spiteful action on the part of MecCoopEmails.

When our sites converted to the new scripts, some users' accounts got lost, particularly those who inadvertently had two. Whenever a site changes hosts, some accounts get eaten as well. There are ways to research what happened and I am sure that when Carole gets your information she will do so. Give her time, running a PTRE is very, very time intensive and she runs TWO.

maybe you didnot pay the taxes, thats why?

Well for me I never had problems with her. But I know she is usually busy. Remember, webmasters have a life, not only their CAC. One of my friends sent her a message about his earnings, he beleives that the cash for his clickthrus is much more than it should be. No reply till now.
So, when she is busy, her reply comes late, this program is not a scam.

By the way,
when i first joined mec co op,before 8 months maybe? i didnot receive a single paid email for more than a month. when talking about it with friends, i told them they never send an email, and they told me they send many emails.
I cancelled my account after sometime, just for fun, and resigned up ,and started receving the emails.
Strange isnt it?

Perhaps you should post your concerns in the MEC-co-op Paidmail support section of the forum if you haven't already done so.

I just wish to thank all of you for your replies. This is the first time I ever posted to a forum and I am thankful for each and every response. Carole has always been responsive to all of my e-mails since Mec began. And yesterday she responded by letting me know she was sorry about what happened and would reinstate my account earnings; trusting me asto the amount. I have only to re-apply.

I did post on the Mec site and I also posted here; in this regard it was not fair to Carole to post here before hearing from her. I jumped the gun.

Yes, I can only imagine what it is like dealing with one website; let alone two. Add to that all the cheaters to contend with.

My failure was in prejudging Carole and, indeed all of you, who I do not know, yet you have all come here to post for my benefit.

I suppose I have, over the years, come to see most people from an antagonistic perspective nutured by my isolation. Still, my problem and no excuse.

Accept my apologies and know that Carole had indeed come through for me again even when I responded in such a presumptuous manner.

Many Thanks,

Bill
