Someone has been hacking into ptre's programs and deleting members and then resigning them up under him or herself. That someone recently did it to one of MY MEMBERS.

When I get to the bottom of this, I am going to make that person wish they'd never even THOUGHT about being conceived, much less gestated, born and joined PTRE's.

I hear it is a webmaster.

This is not a good thing.

If this has happened to you, please let me know and I will see if it is the same person.

Although I have my suspicions, it is unethical to post email addresses here.

Dang hope it isn't me
No really, one very new webmaster thought I had signed up people under pennies, I "think" it is because we have the timer script and people are used to entering their email address to see the sites, at least I am hoping that is it and not the more suspicious "someone is out to get me" paranoia thing. I told him to make sure to check isp etc. and sent him here to get some information and support.

Hate to say it but with hackers in the mailers, programs losing redeem functions and sign up bonuses etc, it is seeming more and more that "someone" is out to ruin our sites, or at least irritate us and cause our members to lose faith.
Credabilty, member trust, is hard to come by, easily lost and the most important part of owning any business.
One great thing about myecom scripts is that there are no pending members, you can't just make a link to finish the sign up process. You HAVE to have the coded link in order to get to the next step, and that only comes in the email.
Did they bypass that on PJ?
