i will never touch this site again.

What is the use even if it is lowered to $ 100, it will still take you a couple of years to reach your payout escpecially if you can not get any referrals :)

errrr ... sorry to disappoint you, but payout hasn't been lowered. i would like to mention that our active clickers are reaching payout in 4 - 6 months at the current rate. i don't think that's too bad considering that i've been clicking for a year on a site with a $10 minimum (and an excellent reputation) and haven't reached cashout yet. ;)

I disagree, it doesn't take years :-) I joined to help a friend out, ok, at that time there were lots more clicks available than in last few months (barring last few days) and even with all the problems of lost earnings, server problems etc, I still earned $131 and 99% of that is my own hard work. I visit the site almost daily, I do a reasonable amount of searches but nothing excessive. For me, and I haven't yet read where payout is lowered but if that is the case, I think it's great, it's a huge step in the right direction, especially for lone surfers. If my own information is correct, I joined on 1st Feb 2003 and was totally aware that $150 was a lot to aim for but even with all the problems I like the site, I think Mike is serious about making this work not just for him but for all concerned. Sure he can be a bit gruff at times but I think ya need the patience of a saint to be a webmaster these days. Also since Trayse took over Customer Service the standard of care is superb. I'm not biased one way or the other, nor do I favour anyone, I judge by my own standards and as I said, even with all the problems they experienced, for me, they've kept going, tried to think of new ways to bring in funding. Their TOS has jumped around but they're willing to admit when they get it wrong, it's certainly not a site for the lazy member, you do have to work at it, but then, you should do that if working as any kind of contractor, which is what we are :-) Just my ?0.01 |

I have to agree with DevilsAdvocate here. I joined Mike's on March 5, 2003 and I am now $4 away from cashout with less than $3 from referrals. I briefly had a couple of referrals who quit. It is possible to reach $150 within a year by yourself. And until this past week, I never did the searches. Mike or Trayse have always answered my questions promptly and politely so I have no quarrel there either.
I joined several sites at the same time I joined Mike's, most with $5 or less cash out. Most of those that I joined then are either gone or I'm still trying to reach payout. I've joined other high minimum sites, $50+, since then and made money very quickly only to see the site either disappear, raise minimum payout or I'm still waiting for my money after months and months with no communication from the WM. |
