I know we have trends in this industry, but the latest trend really is damaging the paid to read world.
The latest trend is high payout sites with high paying links which dont survive and never pay one! But is it me but are smaller payout sites and more realistically payable sites being pushed out, I have notice a massive decrease in the numbers of members on $2-$10 payouts sites even owned by reliable owners like Ray & Cathy. We went through a stage where everyone start no minimum and closed down because they sent to many links that werent paid for, The trend has almost ended now, will this next trend ever end? will small payout sites see it out to the end of it? |

I like low paying sites and will no longer join a high paying site. Though some low payout sites are not very good either.

You know what.......Low paying site are going to last. You know why. Because they are survivors. They can pay. They might not have the highest paying links and they might not have the catchiest names but 6 months from now. Those 3 to 15.00 sites are still going to be here.... The rest well they are just gonna be *poof........
There might be a couple exceptions but not many. |

they will survive, ofcourse they will, they have money to pay their members :)
but i totally understand that high payout sites get more members, because people just get paid MORE with less work. When people are starting to see that high payout progs won't pay forever, they might start to don't sign up with them. |

The only problem is that people aren't buying their ads from these low paying sites with sustainable ad prices. They are buying them from these high paying 5 cents an email sites. If no-one buys the ads from these lower paying sites, they too will fold eventually.

Usually low payout sites have a better scheme because they NEED to ask for a realistic amount for money in every ad they sell.
Why? Because they'll pay very soon!! Usually behind high payouts there is a bad scheme. Selling ads for unrealistic amounts, huh. Those programs will eventually crash -the can last more or less, but they'll crash for sure- but advertisers take advantage of the situation: you get a good response while the program is running. And at a low cost. |

This high paying programs are just now starting to fail in different ways. People will begin to wise up. It may be slow but the tide will turn back to the tried and true sites.
