If I didn't guess wrong, BigBucks = BigBucks4Mail
KeyPoints: 1) PayPal has closed & suspended both BigBucks4Mail's & MLM Spy's PayPal accounts today due to the same reason, spam complains. 2) BigBucks4Mail decided to shut down their program, trying to resolve problem with PayPal & tries to find new method to pay members owned money. 3) An unknown company's PayPal account also closed due to putting PayPal banners and links on his PTREM company site without permission. QUOTE I was a member of BigBucks, and just got this from them in my e-mail today: ============================== I am really sorry to have to send out this e-mail but as of today the BigBucks program is closed. PayPal apparently had a several spam complaints sent to them and I have been trying to discuss this problem with them the past few days but they have chosen to suspend my account until they investigat the report. I will either try to resolve the problem with PayPal or I will look into finding a new way to payout but as of now I am unable to do any payouts or refunds as the money is locked in PayPal. I am very sorry and I hope to have this resovled ASAP. ============================== I am also a member of AdCyclone, and also got an update/newsletter today from them. The last item in the newsletter was this: ============================== MLM Spy's PayPal account was shut down today due to spamming issues. I received a cancellation "From" MLM Spy and questioned if I lost my account or not. They replied this evening stating that PayPal canceled their account and subscriptions before notifying them. They also used MLM Spy's "FROM" address without their knowledge... ============================== A while back, I got a letter from another company I'm a member of, saying that PayPal had frozen their account. I accidentally deleted the letter, and can't remember which company it was from. According to the letter, they were in PayPal's get paid to recommend people to PayPal's services program. PayPal provides banners and linking code for people to send referrals through to sign up at PayPal. The company owner said PayPal had frozen his account, and refused to pay him for his referrals, confiscating that money. The owner said the stated reason was because he put the PayPal banners and links on his PTREM company site. ============================== If anybody else got that letter, and still has a copy, or can remember which company it was from, can you let me know? I'm curious. ***Also, if you have similar letters from other companies, I'd like to see those, too. ***I've read references to PayPal doing stuff to people lately, like this on the web, but there were no specific details. I'm starting to wonder about the situation. ***The stuff I read was entirely unsubstantiated by any evidence, but seemed to be saying if you had earned money for referring people to Paypal, they might just refuse to pay you. I would just chalk it off to rumor normally, but from the two E-mails above, and the other one I unfortunately deleted, I've just gotten curious about the situation. ***DISCLAIMER************ I'm not accusing PayPal of anything, or even implying they're doing anything. I'm just curious about it, that's all. ********************************* [ 01-04-2002: Message edited by: FamilyAffair ] |
