OH NO :o having AOL I've been having to do my mail there for a while, but I didn't know they were only sending to the site inbox. I hope you don't have a downline to keep up with! Maybe you can babysit the PTC section andget them as the come in

They are also telling members to keep their inbox "clean" or they will be deleted.
So be careful.

Of course a whole new wave of old members are reaching payout
So not surprised at the timing.

A warning would have been nice, but then again that wouldn't be ays.

I don't mind the inbox-only policy as a member (that's how I had it set anyway), but as an advertiser I feel concerned that it would lower the click-through rate.

The new policy only started today. And there's no way AYS sent out 300 emails today:)

Secondly if you have 300 emails in your inbox, guess you never bothered to read the last major update (effective Jan 10) asking everyone to keep their inbox clean either ;) :) :)

And really is it that easy to miss that bold red link you see after you log in announcning the new changes ;)

Oh well, you can safely say I wont be buying advertising for AYS anymore and I challenge anyone to tell me that clickthru rates will now not drop by at least 50%. This is a scandelous idea and one that just adds to the many reasons why I just cant be arsed with this business anymore. I mean we are paid to read eamils right?

Wrong, nowadays its paid to pick the right turing number. paid to wait 30 seconds whilst the turing number page loads and now paid to visit our onsite inboxes (something I very rarely do, I'd much rather get these emails as they're meant to be....emails) or paid to remember which sites use onsite inboxes and what ones dont.

IMHO people who are in the PTR industry need to learn to read through everything, then maybe posts like above wouldn't be necessary. Just a thought. ;)

And going through that link, well whatcha know, INFORMATION. <_< Seems like Linder is informing his members to me. And trying to help us all KEEP our accounts.

AYS PaidEmails will be sent to your Internal Inboxes Only - effective 02/13/04

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause - however, our resources, time & patience with the recent email serving issues have been exhausted.

Due to the recent Spam Laws that became effective at the beginning of the new year, many online services such as AOL, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo and others have been blocking emails from rewards type programs. This is causing bouncing unlike anything I have ever witnessed. 30 - 40 percent of each paid email sent out is coming right back into our server. Multiply that times 20 plus paid emails per day to over 27,000 members, all server resources are quickly exhausted, slowing the server down to a crawl and not allowing anyone, members or admin, to get any work done.

This has also been affecting our advertisers as well, not allowing them to get full benefit from the service due to blocking. This should also help to speed up the turnaround time for ads to go out from the time received, including both cash sales and redemptions.

Another issue, while I have your attention, we are hiring and training new employees to help with member support questions. When this program first started, all emails were answered regardless of what the question may have been, but due to both the increasing membership and lack of manpower we have been unable to handle all these requests daily. Thus pissing everyone off. So we are going to try, and I say try, to get this program back the way it was in the beginning. This does not mean we will cater to questions that can easily be answered on the site itself, but questions that cannot be answered on the site will be addressed.

Linder
