Everyday I am receiving an admin email from this site asking me to become a super searcher. There are a lot more sites doing the same asking people to become super or elite searchers and agree to do valid searches and if not they agree to be deleted. Isnt it time we fought back against these sites and exposed them before people start getting deleted.
Copy of admin Super Searcher: Upgraded for free, receive search ads value 1/2c, 1c, 2c, details: If you are an active searcher and do lots of valid search clicks daily, perhaps you are qualified to be Super Searcher (simple as SS below). SS members will have an additional earnings except from the emails sent daily, SS will receive BIG value emails, usually in 1c and 2c, and the minimum payout is only $1.00. Terms and conditions to be SS: you must be active searcher and do lots of valid search daily apply to be SS member and make valid search clicks for the SS emails with all your heart you can't use a proxy IP you have to agree that I have the right either to remove your account back to free member or delete your account if you don't do any valid searches after you are confirmed to be SS member its very easy to know who do valid searches from the IPs displayed in the click report details of search engines If you are interested in SS, just feel free to contact me to apply, it should include your username and IP address. you will receive high value emails once you are confirmed to be SS. I am not a super searcher because its not right to go against search engine terms and reason why I havent quit this site is because I did a referal exchange with someone. |

This site has already been banned by a number of search engines. Maybe it's time to name and shame the engines that don't ban and are still advertised there.

well i reported honest mails (which should really be named DISHONESTmails) and i got my payout taken away AND banned......pppfftt to them. I will admit that quite a few "said" they were banning them....don't know if they did or not, but there were a few that didn't care....wish i had kept their names now!!!

I'm disgusted by this practice. I report every ad and site I find that incentivises searches. It's pure click fraud and theft. Members do all their searches for these frauds and just click for the honest sites that don't force searches because they don't have any valid searches left. This means honest sites lose advertisers, have to lower ad prices and thus link values, members don't earn what they should, so members leave, honest site folds.

I am actually appalled that sites are doing this and it is not a few of them that are doing it. I have set up polls and sent out to my members to discuss banning these sites from advertising on my sites. Although my sites are not large I feel that sites like this are hurting all honest members, search engines and sites. I think it is time to try and put a stop to this kind of behavior some feel is acceptable when it is not.... Just my 2? worth.

the "name and shame" thing might be one of the few resources left.
I know that when I contacted some of these sites, this one in particular, the response emails were....interesting uses of the english language and interesting suggestions as to how I should spend my time. Needless to say... Banned :) |

Then, naming and shaming must and should definitely be done. If it's the po's of these sites, pushing searches, potentially costing their advertiser's accounts regardless of what the search engines are saying, they're doing more harm than good.
I'm less inclined to consider even some of these advertisers, however. Many of them have taken advantage, and pushed to limits themselves. |

So do we name and shame the ptr site or the search engine? If we name and shame the ptr site it should only be with evidence like the admin email, not just naming any ptr site willy nilly because we dont like the site.

I'll help you out, here are the sites I've banned based on PROOF that they are forcing searches, have secret groups that get more or higher paid emails or are giving direct incentives.
Some have given me the "I've changed" whine but I told them to contact me in 3 months and I'd review their practices. Any site I stumble across from a post on here or from an emailed complaint, I investigate completely. Those that are plastered on the front page are easy to spot, others I've had to join to get the "special status". I won't speak for other engine owners but I do know these are on quite a few lists of banned istes. One of the common responses I get is...."So what LOTS of other engines out there and they like getting lots of valids" I'd say sname and shame the engines and let them defend why they are still allowing these kinds of practices. searchingcents.com seekingpays.com avantmails.com softemails.com golfmails.com www.honestmails.com thegoldclick.com ads-wow.com daydayupemails.com This post has been edited by pittr: Sep 1 2005, 07:11 PM |

I'm surprised PetroMails isn't on your list.....his emails were VERY blunt about forcing you or deleting you. and i laugh because now if you come to this forum and post in the praises section you get preferential treatment and will get random payouts.....so noticed a huge increase in the praises column. |

I think all the gain sites should be added. If you dont do the search, they dont send the mails. I have tested this over and over. Its not a mass-mailer issue as they say.

Well I'm glad someone is finally naming them as it's important to make the names of these PTRs public so that we make sure not to join these sites. Eventually if they don't have enough members, then they won't have advertisers flocking to them.
Thanks for the list, pittr. I'm not a member of any of those sites and I shan't be joining any of them. |

My hubby bleongs to one of those sites mentioned above.
He went to redeem for his payout one day last week and was told he can't be paid because there were no valid searches from his IP addy. We were both furious. We both own PTRs and have NEVER asked our member to make valid searches. The only terms we have about searches is that IF they do have that keyword selected, they must be from a Search country. Anyway.... After he sent an email to the Admin stating that he indeed does valid searches at all PTRs he belongs to, he received a reply with an apology. The WM had simply mistaken him with another member. INCREDIBLE! |

Hi,
I never force my members to search, BUT i do find myself editting members ads, I have removed "you will be deleted if you do not search" so many times. Justin |
